A strong combination of sweet, smoky and meaty that does not go well in this porter. It’s thick and syrupy and has an intensely sugary smell. If you really love maple and/or bacon then try so you can say you have. Otherwise skip it for one of Rogue’s other brews as they’re usually pretty good.

BOTTLE. Got a lot of smoked ham up front with a very sticky sweet maple finish, seemed to be very cloudy & copper in colour. With a very sweet & sticky aroma from the maple.... Sourced from Cellarbrations @ Capel

Pours very dark brown, with a very thick, quickly dissipating head. Powerful aromas of bacon and maple immediately waft up from the bottle and glass. Smells like a Canadian breakfast in a bottle. Tastes of very smoky bacon, with hints of maple coming through. Surprisingly not all that sweet, which was a welcome surprise. Overall, easy to dismiss as a novelty beer, but this one has some legs, and I could definitely drink it again.

Bottle, thanks SirLimpsalot. Brownish with a small head. Aroma and taste of smoke, bacon, butter and something sweet. Strange and not really my kind of beer.

@basunen: ganska rökig doft. Smaken är typisk baconsälta och kanske inte mycket annat. Mycket torv och rök. Speciell. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Not really my cup of tea but it definitely tasted like a maple bacon doughnut. It gets points for originality.
