UPDATED: NOV 9, 2013 Another Voodoo beer, I really enjoyed the first Voodoo Doughnut and Bacon beer, it was one of those beers you either love or hate, and I thought it was great. The Voodoo Peanut Butter and Banana Ale however wasn’t so good for me. Nothing bad, it was decent, but taste was a bit weaker more suttle tastes, didn’t really notice peanut butter, and the beer is to expensive to drink normally.

650 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a dark brown with average-sized beige head. Aroma is shockingly like a chocolate scratch-and-sniff sticker with some fruitness - no signs of peanut butter. Flavour is a little heavier on slightly banana-ish fruit with some odd milk chocolate, but again no sign of peanut butter. Carbonation on the fine side. Very different, but decent.

4oz sample from a bottle. Thank you Tristan, for letting me have the sample without buying a bomber of this shit. Deep brown with a sustaining rope and blanket. Aroma of all the label shit. Super banana forward, chocolate, and nut butter. Not peanut butter. Taste is brutal. A minimalist malt character, that's convincing you of just drinking soggy trailings from taint-sweat drenched underwear. Seriously though, take milk chocolate, melt it down, then mix 14 parts water with 3 parts chocolate. That's this beer.

Bottle: Poured a deep dark color ale with a small dark brown foamy head with almost no retention. Aroma of light peanut butter notes with some fake banana syrup notes is not the most pleasant. Taste is also dominated by gross banana notes with light peanut butter notes with quite a bit of residual sugars. Body is light with light carbonation. Too much banana notes for its own good and also too sweet for my own taste buds.

Bottle from Cajun Cafe Fall Beer Fest. Pours a hazy medium brown with a white head. Nose is a bit of spice, a bit of tobacco, some mild peanut, and some mild fruitiness. Flavor is similar- mild in every aspect of the flavor profile- light peanut, light banana/ fruit, and light chocolate. Light in body with a yeasty finish.

Meh...after the last one I wasn’t expecting much but had to try it for the rating. Aroma and flavor are dominated by banana. Only hints of chocolate in the flavor but it’s faint and you have to look for it. This is more like a banana beer. No peanut butter detected. Light carbonation. Dark brown pour with a thin light tan film for a head. Was drinkable and a nice novelty, but nothing I would try again

Bottle. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet peanut, chocolate and banana aroma. Medium body with a thin smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium chocolate, peanut sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft brew.

Poured like a thin stout. smell and sip is banana, strong banana. First sip was decent, but the more I drank the more prominent the banana flavor became, which made it too much. Would have preferred subtle flavors to the overpowering extracts.

Sample from big bottle @sbwf13. Brownish black with tan head. Aroma of banana, chemical caramel, artificial sweetener. Taste isnt as sweet as expected, metallic, chemical and banana notes. Fairly thin. Not great but interesting :)

Brune foncé presque noire. Banane. Sirop d'érable. Très mince. Fruité. Fraise. Bonbon. Bizarre.
