A Collision of Crazies Rogue Ales has again collided with Voodoo Doughnut to create Chocolate, Banana & Peanut Butter Ale! This unique artisan creation contains a baker’s dozen ingredients including chocolate, banana and peanut butter to match Voodoo’s "Memphis Mafia" doughnut- a nod to Elvis’ entourage.

Pink (Pepto Bismal) colored 750ml bottle. Black pour, tall tan foam. Nice lace. Smells of a fresh jar of unsalted roasted peanuts. Very thin bodied. Tastes of chocolate, some wood, tobacco ash. Only as it warms is when I begin to taste the addition of flavors. The peanuts, some banana extract flavors. Mostly flavors of ashtray and some hops. Overall, still not what I was expecting in a Voodoo Donut beer. Although this one is way better than the Bacon offering, these beers need to be a bit more cloying with sweetness. It should taste like a sugary donut, instead of a Rogue Beer. Definitely fun to have! (3600). 6,5,6,3,12

Dreadful, undrinkable, appalling concoction that I wish I hadn’t tried. I understand pushing the envelope, but really, peanut butter?

First of all, this one is worlds above the last attempt in this series. But so is almost ANYTHING ive ever had. That being said, I get the peanut butter and some banana. Malts and a bit of hops. No horribly bad, but just odd and I wont be driniking it again.

Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with a 4 finger creamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate with a touch of peanut butter. Full bodied. Flavor is strange to start. Very odd. Moves on to chocolate and a little peanut butter. Not much banana. As the carbonation leaves it turns somewhat watery. Kind of earthy. Suggests coffee dregs. It is dry. Peanut butter seems to stand out a bit more in the finish. It is interesting, but do they really expect anyone to have a second one?

Cloudy Caramel brown color... Chocolate and peanut butter notes on the aroma... Caramel malts dominate the flavor with notes of banana and peanut butter, kind of a metallic finish... Decent ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tastes more medicinal than anything. Rough, uneven, and fleeting flavors of chocolate dot the palate. Banana and peanut butter notes are barely evident. Tastes like an overambitious beer kit gone dreadfully wrong. And for such a lofty price tag, Rogue really needs to rework this brew.

T - Milk chocolate and caramel malts, cocoa, peanut butter, banana, a hint of roasted coffee. M - Medium-plus bodied, moderate carbonation. Smooth and a bit thick with a sweet finish. D - Interesting mix of flavors. Not quite balanced, but somewhat enjoyable.

Appearance: Pours dark brown with a tan film a top.

Aroma: Coffee cake, glazed donut, diner (warm coffee, toast, vinyl.) At this point I’m smiling.

Taste: Wood/ash tray, banana. Some toasty and roast malts.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, average carbonation.

Overall: The aroma pulled me in and the flavor took me out of it. These kind of beers can be fun, but are hard to execute usually. Fun to try for sure.

pours very dark brown almost black. About a finger of creamy thick off white head. Chocolate on the nose, but the banana is a noticeable character, and peanut butter is there too, but it isn’t over bearing. Some banana and chocolate flavor, just a small hint of peanut butter. It’s interesting and a cool idea for a beer. A good desert beverage.

Poured from bottle into glass dark color with a small head. Aroma of chocolate and carmel. Taste of chocolate and penut butter. If you like Reese penut butter cups you will enjoy this beer.
