sample @ home, thanks veliempojot!
Aroma is interesting, like an oversweet fruit candy. Flavour is a bit odd and harsh with sweet candy tones, caramel and wood. Finishes medicine-like. This is actually odd in the same way than Bacon Maple version, but here harshness tries to ruin the show.

65 cl bottle.
Pours dark brown color with no head. Aroma of chocolate, peanuts, some banana, marshmallows and some sugar. Flavor of syrup, sugar, dark sweet malts, milky chocolate and more sugar. Way too sweet, as was expected.

650ml bottle

Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth white head. Aroma of syrup, sweet caramel, sugary banana candies, peanut butter and yeast. Taste is messy, sweet, sugary and syrupy with some roastiness, banana candies, peanut butter and artificial notes. Finish is sweet, sugary and messy. Not good. Way too sweet and messy.

Simply a jumbled mess! Pour is very dark & super foamy. Aroma has a lot going on but probably too much. No distinctive flavor really stands out & the same holds true w/ the taste. It’s watery on the palate. Glad I got this for $5 cause it’s not very good!

Cocoa and banana nose. Mahogany, thick tan head. Arificial banana flavor, soil.Light body. Interesting, but falls well short of expectations. This type of beer is hard to pull off.

Sampled at DLD 14. Random sample! Very dark brown; moderate, fluffy cream colored head and plenty of lacing. Aroma of roast, peanut butter, chocolate, and banana. The taste is mostly chocolate and banana with roasted malt. Medium bodied, a little dry, and moderately carbonated.

Bottle... Pours black with a mid-sized, foamy, cappuccino head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is of chocolate and banana syrups, and there’s more of a vanilla component than peanut butter. Medium-bodied and watery with buzzing carbonation. The flavor is roasty and burnt - medium bitterness with both chocolate and banana extracts. There’s also a suggestion of roasted peanuts, but not enough to list peanut butter in this beer’s name. Finishes singed, tongue-numbing, raspy and lightly bitter. Elvis would have shit on this. If you’re gonna brew a boutique beer, do it like Funky Buddha or Cigar City. Don’t subtle people to death. I actually enjoyed Maple Bacon Bar much more than this one. At least that one tasted like a sweet, savory donut. It wasn’t great, but at least it was what it was supposed to be.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2014 The nose is the most interesting thing about this beer, lots of banana, pina colada and vanilla. Taste very different, salty a boy chemical then watery. Fun but nothing to drink again.
