The taste disappoints a bit after the appearance and aroma. Beautiful aroma of chocolate and banana, with a rich dark colour an a nice head. The taste is a bit watery, with a chocolate taste and a banana chocolate palate.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around for a while. There’s also a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like milk chocolate, peanut butter, roasted malt and some banana. It tastes like milk and bittersweet chocolate, banana, peanut butter, burnt/charred malt and a bit of caramel. I do think the chocolate flavor is stronger compared to the banana and peanut butter. It does lean more towards being a sweeter tasting brew than a bitter, roasty one. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit coating and is well carbonated. Overall I liked this, I wouldn’t mind trying it again in the future. It’s certainly a unique beer, and it’s definitely worth trying if you’ve never had it before.

Not necessarily a BAD beer, but definitely a fad beer. Fun to try and good to say I have, but not gonna buy again.

Wow! A triumph. Exotic - full of interest - almost stout - and only 5.3%... So much flavour. Could definitely session this even though not my prefered style. Bloody lovely. So drinkable...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black with a smallish head. Aroma of chocolate covered raisins and banana. Nice taste, mostly takes like a chocolate stout. Not nearly as weird as expected, or as the maple bacon version.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours thin black with a small beige ring. Aroma is roasted malts and loads of bitter chocolate. Can faintly pick up peanut butter. Taste again has the roasted malts and bitter chocolate overpowering anything from the banana and peanut butter. Comes across more of a sweet stout.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Neste gang.
Eng: Found this better than the ratings here.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL bottle. Poured deep brown with a nice dark beige head. The aroma picked up lots of cocoa and semi-sweet chocolate notes with accents of candied banana and light peanut butter. The flavor found odd tart malty notes throughout.. mostly sweeter chocolate and some peanut butter accents on the middle.. finished with a chocolate and maple-kissed banana milkshake. Light-medium-bodied with light-ish carbonation.. kind of dry.. OK feel and flow.. lots of interesting stuff, but it only sort of worked for a beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Interesting aroma. In the sense that its so single note with so many flavours. Smells of toasted bread. Medium bodied. Tastes of chocolate mostly. Ever so slight roasted banana. Ever so slight. No peanut butter, IMO. Not bad.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a rootbeer brown, with a several fingers of khaki head. Medium lacing. Nose is of cocoa, caramel, and cake. Tastes starts with a slight bitter cocoa, accompanied by a light caramel sweetness. Finish is slightly bitter with herbal hops. Mouthfeel is medium, and lightly creamy. In my opinion, I was expecting something a little more decadent. Maybe a higher, sugary malt presence? I didn’t get any banana, or peanut butter, which was disappointing. If this was a blind taste test, and hadn’t been subjected to the marketing gimmick, I would probably finger this beer as a decent chocolate ale. Nothing special.
