Pours black with a nice head. Laces nicely. Aroma is chocolate and fruity. Fruit aroma is more like frozen bananas. Flavor is bitter with chocolate in the back. Seems watery, chalky. A little unfitting for Rogue, in my opinion.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark brown with a gray head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has lots of banana with a hint of dark chocolate and a bit of earthy musty dark grains. Flavor has lots off creamy banana with an odd chocolate note and thin dark grains.

Bomber. Cola brown color with a foamy brown head. I can detect a mixture of all 3 advertised flavors in the aroma, however the flavor is a muddled mess. The chocolate and banana do not combine well and I can only detect a trace of the banana in the finish. Creamy texture with soft carbonation. Lighter body than I expected. Too bad the first impression didn’t carry through to the flavor. I will skip this one in the future.

I thought this was a fun beer. The peanut butter came through in the nut brown ale base and the chocolate and banana were more subdued.

This pours a dark brown color with a brown, foamy head. The aroma is a mixture of cocoa and peanut butter. The overall taste is very malty mixed with some cocoa flavors. It finishes with a chalky after taste. An interesting style and advertised ingredients but it could taste a lot better.

Bottle shared at the De Molen First Tuesday tasting (sans Dean). Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is obnoxious banana sweets, play dough, custard and candy. Basically like being a kid walking into a candy store! Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Creme brûlée and marshmallows in the palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Weird but actually strangely enjoyable in a small quantity.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a huge tan colored head. Aroma is banana and candy. Taste is almost like candy peanuts, some banana, and plastic.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy tootsie roll with some light roasted peanuts/peanut butter. As it warms, I get just a hint of banana...but it’s light enough that the power of suggesting may just have me really looking for it. It pours a dark brown with some faint orange transparency when held to the light. It has a two finger beige head that quickly fades to a thin film. There is some spotty lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate tootsie roll flavors. There’s just a touch of banana in the middle that I’m not sure I’d notice without knowing it’s supposed to be there. The finish has light-moderate roasted peanuts, light peanut butter, and a touch of fruit; It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.

750 mL bottle from LCBO served cool in a tulip glass shared with friends. Deep brown with no head. Strong, somewhat artificial chocolate, nutty, banana esters, a little buttery, odd, not terrible. Oddly thin and too effervescent. Watery and harsh, some chocolate, a touch of banana and nuttiness, harsh; dry with inappropriate bitterness and a kinda weak, roasty finish. Not a big success!

Shared bottle at beer tasting. Smells like all 3 things, tastes like none of them, and none of them at the same time. Pretty funky. Probably wont buy again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
