Pepto-bismol coloured bomber from Sherbrooke. Heard interesting things about maple bacon, so I figured i’d give this a whirl. Pours a dark-chocolate brown, aromas of chocolate and banana predominant. I get a little chocolate, and peanut butter on the palate, but this is destroyed by a banana catastrophe. Not banana-clovey like a weizen, but like an artificial banana - like the amoxycillin they give to sick children. Just a strange experience altogether.

Bottle. Pours pitch black, like a stout with a lasting white head. Aroma is mostly sugar. Very sweet beer, some banana and peanut butter in there but very sugary. Drinkable enough, liked the idea although disappointing.

Goofy beer, but honestly, not that bad. Noticeable chocolate with maybe a hint of banana and peanut butter.

750ml bottle, dark brown-black color, with a fluffy tan head, with a sweet brown chocolate, faint peanut butter, mocha, faint banana bread, french toast nose, with some cocoa powder, light chocolate chip cookie dough, spicy, mild chocolate cake, subtle maple cookie accents and a vanilla pod, caramel, toffee, cappuccino, crème brûlée note in the aroma folllows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a sweet mocha, cocoa powder, semi-sweet chocolate chip, light coffee, toffee, dark bitter chocolate, roasted, toasted, chocolate, caramel malt character, with some burnt toast, faint banana bread, vanilla, chocolate cake, cappuccino, nut flavours, leading towards a mochaish, brown chocolate, cocoa powder, lingering coffeeish, roasted, chocolate, toasted maltiness, dark chocolate bitterness finish.

750 ml. Pours opaque chocolate with a lasting film of bubbles. Nose is chocolate glaze with a sourish fruit overtone, like an apple-strawberry juice. Flavor is more of the same plus some toasted nut and cola. I get some banana after a while, as well as some wooden notes in the long finish. Near-medium body is balanced by the acidity and has medium-high carbonation. Pretty much a mess, but not quite a drainpour.

Opaque dark brown, mid sized head. Interesting aroma containing chocolate, caramel, banana, and roast, but perhaps slightly too artificial. Creamy, mid-thick texture, not unlike a brown. Roast and chocolate dominate, but a peculiar fruity banana like taste is extremely apparent at the finish. It is certainly unique, but artificiality is present. The fruity, caramel banana taste tastes akin to cotton candy or syrup, although not overly sweet. No peanut butter at all. Although not fantastic, I’m satisfied given the originality.

A dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was a strange combination of banana, chocolate and some peanut, not the aroma I was expecting. Taste was bad for me. I did not get the banana or peanut or chocolate taste. Not for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle in conical pint glass. Opaque brown-black appearance with thin head. Bubblegum nose, smells almost exactly like the strawberry freeze-dried astronaut food. Taste of thin peanut butter, artificial banana and sugar. Bland sugary aftertaste. Interesting to try, but would not buy again.

It smells better than it tastes, but overall it's not too shabby. The banana comes through the strongest, but the peanut butter is faint at best. I would say this is a decent dessert beer, as it gives you flavor and sweetness, but you can't drink more than 1 or 2. My one knock is that the flavors do not mix perfectly, so it tastes a bit muddled. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
