This was a very delicious beer. The flavors were individually distinct. By far, one of my favorites!!

Wow! A triumph. Exotic - full of interest - almost stout - and only 5.3%... So much flavour. Could definitely session this even though not my prefered style. Bloody lovely. So drinkable...

I disagree with the previous post - it’s all natural and taste just like the donut it’s crafted after - the Memphis Mafia. It’s a dessert beer that taste great! You can’t buy it outside Oregon (last post was from California), but you can get it online here: http://www.madeinoregon.com/Voodoo-Doughnut-Chocol

Shockingly good! Light banana taste, then peanut butter hits, and a wonderful chocolate stout finish. One of my new favorite beers.

Fun novelty beer. Of the two Voodoo Doughnut ales, this one is better. Pours black, but is not a stout. Strong banana aroma and taste, with a chocolate undercurrents. Maybe a smidge of peanut butter, but that could be my imagination. Worth trying once, but I think Rogue missed the opportunity here to instead make this a stout, using their excellent double chocolate stout ("liquid chocolate bar") as the foundation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from KegNBottle (NC): Viewed as a dark blackish brown liquid that starts out with a thick head but then quickly weakens down to a thin layer across the beer. My nose is instantly greeted with sugary sweet chocolate and banana which deeply brings memories of Ben and Jerry’s chunky monkey ice cream. Also, the aroma has trace of Reese’s peanut butter cups that smells similar to a McDonald’s mcflurry with the chocolate peanut butter cups all grinded up. I really do enjoy smelling this beer. As for the flavor, I also like it even though it does taste extremely artificial but somehow it taste okay in a good way artificial just like most all fast food chain milkshakes and those Nestle banana milks taste fake. The flavor is more dominated with the banana and a slight notice of chocolate like malts, however, the peanut butter is completely non existent. This beers flavor reminds me a lot of Anchor’s Our Special Ale for some odd reason. Not as bad as I thought it would be but still does taste unnatural and artificial.

A very good beer. Pours a deep black with a dark tan head. Smells like doughnuts! Sweet, like sprinkles or chubby hubby ice cream. Taste is layered, taste the chocolate and peanut butter and a little coffee, with cream. Slight hoppy finish. A great tasting beer! Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer pours black with a huge brown head. This beer starts off sweet with a lot of complex flavors. There is a lot of chocolate, coffee and banana. The peanut butter is very mild and this beer ends bitter. This is much better then the bacon maple beer.

Bottle at home. Roasted nuts and fruity banana on nose, little bit thin, dry chocolate roast, dry sticky nutty taste, light banana, awesome.

Transfer from BA review on 10-12-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a deep-deep cola brown color with a one finger tan colored head composed of tons of fizzy bubbles. The head fades rather rapidly leaving some foamy lace on the sides of the glass and islands of foam on the top of the brew. Smell – The aroma is huge of a sweet, somewhat artificial banana smell. The banana reminds me of the scent of banana runts, and before tasting made me think I was going to be having a sweet candy like brew. Complementing the banana nicely is a peanut butter smell which mixed with a doughy smell to produce a somewhat peanut butter banana sandwich aroma. Along with these aromas are some other lighter smells of a cocoa nature as well as some sugary toffee smells and a little bit of coffee. Actually, even though the banana was somewhat artificial in nature, the aroma was very appealing overall. Taste – While the taste was relatively sweet, it was not nearly as I would have anticipated from the noise and was actually more roasty tasting then what anticipated. The taste begins with a brown sugar and toffee flavor mixed with a nice lighter banana and cocoa flavor. Along with these flavors there was also a sweet doughy taste which creates a nice base for the flavors of the brew. As the taste moves on, the banana get more pronounced and takes on a somewhat banana runt like flavor as would be anticipated from the nose. More toward the end, some peanut flavors come to the tongue, nicely complimenting the cocoa and banana flavors of the brew. With the increase in the drier cocoa flavors as well as the peanut butter flavor and a newly encountered coffee flavor that comes to the tongue at the end, a moderately sweet (but not too sweet) roasted coffee and cocoa peanut butter runt like banana doughnut flavor is left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is rather average. The higher carbonation was rather nice for the sweeter and banana flavors of the brew, but a bit more body may have given it a nice thicker and chewier feel, nicely accentuating the roasted and “doughnut” like characteristics of the brew. Overall – This was really quite an enjoyable novelty brew. While somewhat artificial in banana, it had a nice candy like smell and flavor that melded well with the darker and roasted doughnut like characteristics of the brew. While I was not a fan of the Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon ale, the Voodoo Doughnut Chocolate banana and peanut butter ale is delicious and even although it is rather overpriced it is one you should likely try at least once.
