Pours opaque cola brown with a 2-finger dark tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate mixed with raspberry syrup or jam. Full body, mildly syrupy with a long finish. Flavor mixed a light note of char with dark chocolate, with a lingering note of raspberry syrup beneath. Maybe a touch of salt and dough from the pretzel as it warms. Very unique, good dessert pairing.

Decent aroma of raspberry. Mildly over-sweet. Largely artificial fruitiness. Very sweet; raspberry overload with some caramel notes. Mild bitterness on the finish. No way I could get through a whole bomber of this on my own. Seems to get sweeter with every sip. Overall, pretty disappointing.

Pours dark dark brown. Aroma of chocolate, raspberry, hops, no doughnuts. Tastes of same, though an unfortunate metallic taste and aroma came in at points. Lingering chocolate and hops in the aftertaste. Nice.

Black, mohogany tinted body, almost opaque with a medium-sized beiege head which dissipated leaving nice lacing on the glass. Nose is fruity chocolate, I get more strawberry than raspberry personally. A little earthy/ woody with some cocoa and espresso notes

January 30, 2015 - tasting session with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs and mabel. My 750ml pink butt-ugly bottle. Deep mahogany pour with a lasting frothy/creamy tan head. Aroma - candy-sweet with cocoa powder and fake fruit pie filling - very much like a donut (generous 6). Taste is raspberry/cherry medicine - sugary and nasty and fake - not much chocolate. Light carbonation, mostly just sugary and harsh - please stop making these.

Bottle @ THT February. Always intersting to try these VD beers. This one pours a clear dark brown beer with small, creamy beige head on top. Aroma of red fruits, doughnut, chocolate with some chemical artificial notes. Flavor is exactly what the bottle says, minus the pretzel. I really can’t notice the pretzel in there anywhere. This is not good, but certainly not bad either, just a pink gimmick.

75cl bottle shared @THT. Thin creamy off white head. Clear deep amber pour. I get some raspberry and a little chocholate. Don’t get the pretzel or doughnut. It’s an ok beer. Not upto Rogue’s usual standards

750 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass. Murky deep mahogany/brown with a fluffy tan head. Decent chocolate and raspberry, a slightly salty note, biscuit. Medium-ish body, relaxed carbonation. Weak chocolate, reasonable raspberry, biscuit; dry with gentle bitterness, slightly tart, with a chocolate and raspberry finish. Not bad, not great.
