I get it all in the aroma. Chocolate, raspberry and pretzels. How did they get pretzels in there? Taste is like raspberry Cola at first then dark chocolate finish. Definitely weird but fun to try. Great effort. What did you expect?

Aroma: raspberry and chocolate, a great combination. Appearance: black-brown. No head. Purple-ish hue when down to 1-2 oz in glass. Taste: medium bitter chocolate with fruity finish. Malty.Feel: mostly flat.Best of the rouge-voodoo set. Shared bottle with family on vacation with dessert of chocolate croissants, sticky buns, and white choc mac nut cookies. Yum.

Pours a dark chocolate brown color with a nice brown head. Aroma is raspberries and chocolate. The taste is actually pretty decent. The raspberries take up most of the flavor. After raspberry there is a very light dark chocolate pretzel thing going on. Actually pretty good. The best one of these weird doughnut beers I’ve had.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber from Capone’s. Pours hazy brown with tan head. Nose was roasty malt, berries, cacao. Tasted dark malty, with notes of raspberry, some bready pumpernickly flavor, and cacao. It all didn;t seem to meld well together, but I wouldn;t say this beer was bad. As a dessert beer, it was OK. The flavors were certainly unique and fresh.

Geruch nachKuchen, Himbeere und Schokolade. Start süßlich, Kuchen, malzig. Anschließend Himbeere, Schokolade, leicht säuerlich. Abgang himbeerig, malzig, kaum bitter. Ganz nett, ungewöhnlich - haut mich aber nicht vom Hocker.

Bottle at Cafe Sara, august 15th 2014. Dark brown body with a thin light brown head. Aroma dominated by chocolate and raspberry, with a light roasty edge. Taste is malty, chocolate, more subtle berrytaste. Thin body, good carbonation. Leaves an aftertaste of milk chocolate and raspberry.

0,75 l bottle from Kristall-König. Thanks for sharing it! To be honest, I don´t like that kind of bottle and label art. Nearly black in the glass, small foamy head. Fresh raspberries on the nose, some cookies. Taste: Raspberries, maybe a little bit synthetic, dark chocolate and coffie. Getting thinner to the end.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours murky dark brown amber with a dark crimson hue and beige ring for a head. Aroma is nice bringing creamy milk chocolate, light hints of the pretzel and raspberry, like a bakery baking fresh pastries. Flavors of raspberry extract come forward with chocolate bitterness and light sweetness on the backend, but then falls a bit bland.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle. Served in a Great Lakes Brewing chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around a little while. There isn’t much lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like pretzels, raspberries and milk chocolate, no surprise there. There’s also a bit of coffee noticeable. I think the taste is just like the aroma, it’s mostly chocolately, raspberry and pretzels, along with a hint of coffee. It’s a sweet tasting brew, along with a bit of bitterness. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit creamy with moderate carbonation. Overall I liked this brew, certainly worth a try. $11.99 a bottle.
