I get it all in the aroma. Chocolate, raspberry and pretzels. How did they get pretzels in there? Taste is like raspberry Cola at first then dark chocolate finish. Definitely weird but fun to try. Great effort. What did you expect?

750ml bottle at home. Dark brown with a medium white soapy head. Medium body with low carbonation. Pretty sweet with some bitter tones. Caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, chocolate, spices, fruits and some herbs. A great tasty brew.

A reddish dark brown beer with a small, beige head. The aroma has lots of caramel sauce, with some bread and sweetness, as well as some berries. Chocolate notes too. Chocolate, caramel sauce, sweetness, a hint of berreis and some bread in the sweet flavor. A little bitterness too. It’s full bodied and semi-dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Lasting finish with caramel sauce and chocolate. Rather metallic all the way, else it’s quite interesting

Bottle from Asahiya shared by Brian. Rogue Voodoo Pretzel Raspberry Chocolate beer 5.4% served in a snifter. A deep dark brown with ruby highlights and a somewhat artificial but fantastic raspberry chocolate nose. Medium bodied with a somewhat hyperactive rough mouthfeel. The taste is sweet a bit cloying and artificial - nice raspberry syrup, a bit salty and cloyingly sweet chocolate goodness.

22 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Great chocolate and malt aroma. Pours a rich dark brownish black with a tan head that dissapates, but forms a nice ring that sticks around for the ride. Great malty and rich chocolate flavor up front with a little saltiness from the pretzel. Finishes with a very slight rasberry, not nearly as sweet as I thought it’d be. Great stuff.

Rating #1095 - May 24, 2014 - Pepto-bismol coloured bomber from Coop. Heard interesting things about maple bacon, so I figured i’d give this a whirl. Pours a dark-chocolate brown, aromas of chocolate and benadryl raspberry cherry. I get a little chocolate, and raspberry on the palate. Overall much better than the peanut butter banana, but a dessert beer sweet that isn’t a treat to this fat kid.

Pours clear brown with red highlights, one finger light tan diminishing gradually to thin skim, moderate lacing (4/5) Nose is raspberry, milk chocolate, biscuity yeasty malt. (7/10) Taste is mild sweet, moderate bitter, mild sour, mild salt. (6/10) Medium body, prickly carbonation and mild bitter and tart berry finish. (3/5) Well, that’s a bit of a kitchen sink - what’d they do, throw everything at it, and see what sticks? It’s not bad, but ultimately what it ends up tasting like, particularly with the prickly carbonation, is cola. Maybe raspberry cola, but cola. Smells a bit better than it tastes, but ultimately doesn’t work all that well. (14/20)

Spójny i przyjemny. Smak: wyraźnie słodowy (czekolada, kakao), nieco słodki z akcentem owocowym (ciasto z malinami), wyraźną wytrawną kontrą i akcentami lekko przypieczonymi przypominającymi słody precel. Goryczka początkowo wydaje się nieco wyższa niż wskazana przez producenta, jednak jest potęgowana przez słód. Nie zalega. Do tego minimalny akcent dymiony. Ogólnie średnia pełnia, niskie do umiarkowanego wysycenie i lekko szorstkie odczucie w ustach. Ostatnie piwo z serii Voodoo. Barwa i piana są bardzo ładne, choć piana mogłaby być nieco bardziej trwała. Aromat chyba najmniej kontrowersyjny i dosyć spójny.

Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Had this ages, and to be honest, I’ve been trying hard to ignore it since. Anyhow, it’s clear, very dark, ruby red. Tan head sets off thick, and bubbly, then thins to a halo. Very fruity, Raspberry Ruffle chocolate bar. Some rich fruitcake. There’s ripe orange in there. Chocolate wafer at the back. Smells really fresh, and inviting. Taste is fruity sweet. More of the chocolate wafer thing. A little welcome dryness, tries to wriggle in. Soft, fairly smooth palate. It’s all going pretty well, then the finish comes over a bit artificial, and plastic. Overall though, I quite liked this one.
