3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Near black pour with a thin, creamy tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate syrup with some toasty, nutty and light fruity notes in there. Flavor is hot fudge and nice sweet raspberry notes, not a seedy raspberry taste like most raspberry flavored beers end up having, throw in a little roasted nuts and salted caramel toward the end and thatís about it. Light to medium body, creamy to syrupy feel, medium and sharp carbonation and still slightly syrupy, somewhat dry finish with a touch of fruity acidity. Pretty good overall, canít say itís worth anywhere near the $13/750ml price tag, but, I have paid more for much worse.

Dark brown pour, medium beige head. Cocoa powder aroma, with a slight tart fruit odour. Very effervescent carb, with a slightly Watery mouth feel. The finish is slightly tart, light berry flavoue, with some bitter cocoa.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2015-01-12. Dark brown body with a small tan head. 3+ Aroma of artificial seeming raspberry. Sweet cocoa notes, overly sweet overall. Average plus bodied palate. The overall impression is better than I expected with the raspberry taking the lead but a small pour is enough for me. Bottle from the LCBO shared by a friend.

I was SUPER skeptical about buying this beer for $10 I had the Rogue Chocolate Peanut Butter and Banana Ale and it was AWFUL.
Beer pours a dark brown with a red tinge when light passes through it, with about a fingers worth of head that dissipates quickly.
Has a amaizing strong chocolate raspberry smell that smells like Candy.
Initial blast of a chocolate coffee flavor with a strong salty raspberry pretzel after taste and goes down SMOOTH, the only other stout I have tasted that goes down this smooth is Guinness, it does not have a strong bitter aftertaste that many Imperial Stouts do.
All and all is a sweet delicious desert beer that I would not want to get drunk from but one is a perfect number after a nice steak dinner.
I highly recommend this beer and will be giving Rogue another chance should I come across any different kind of their beers. The only major downside to this beer is its price tag.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
1/11/15. 750mL bottle... the stupid pink one. I had such a horrible experience with the first of this series that I basically swore them off. Finally succumbed to the rate since the ratings for this one donít seem too horrible... Brown pour under a small khaki head that fades fast, very minimal lacing. Weird artificial chocolate aroma, dusty, husky maltiness, nuttiness, and mild fruitiness... all seems weirdly artificial. The flavor is not good. Chalky, nutty, artificial chocolate and raspberry candy, lingers dry and chalky in my mouth, getting no concept of pretzels. Weird thin mouthfeel with high, burning carbonation does not deliver the richness I was expecting. Why does Voodoo keep letting them make these travesties? They canít possibly taste anything like the doughnuts. Did they accidentally sign a long term contract? Gross, but not nearly as much as that maple bacon one...

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very dark amber with a brown head - Good aroma of chocolate, rasberries and coffee - Good malt in the back to support the flavours of dark coffee, resberries and dark chocolate - Dark choclate with some bitter notes and rasberries with some sweet notes goes into the finish - This was unusual but still good

750 ml from LCBO. Dark brown pour. Chocolate on the nose. Flavour is chocolate, with touch of raspberry, faint salt. Rather tame, pricey, but inoffensive.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a milk chocolate brown with lots of carbonation. Raspberry and chocolate biscuit aroma. Base of light chocolate with raspberry on the front, dark chocolate on the back, and an aftertaste of salted caramel pretzel. Seems like a novelty dessert beer but quite pleasant!

Bottle. Pours deep burgundy with thin white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Mild raspberry aroma over limited carbonation. Nice raspberry flavor over bitter chocolate.

Nuchtere Noorden Tasting I
Mooie fles, of nou ja, je moet er van houden. Hij valt in elk geval op! En de rare combinatie van ingrediŽnten pakt goed uit. Vooral de frambozen doen het bier goed.
