Near black pour with a thin, creamy tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate syrup with some toasty, nutty and light fruity notes in there. Flavor is hot fudge and nice sweet raspberry notes, not a seedy raspberry taste like most raspberry flavored beers end up having, throw in a little roasted nuts and salted caramel toward the end and thatís about it. Light to medium body, creamy to syrupy feel, medium and sharp carbonation and still slightly syrupy, somewhat dry finish with a touch of fruity acidity. Pretty good overall, canít say itís worth anywhere near the $13/750ml price tag, but, I have paid more for much worse.

Rated on 8-04-2015 (Bottle) This beerís appearance is a small tan head that mostly diminished, mostly opaque dark brown body, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma presents raspberry, chocolate and malt. The flavor is raspberry, chocolate, malt, and semi-sweet. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This beer does not have a lot of aroma or character. For me it is an easily forgettable beer.

Aroma: raspberry-chocolate candy Flavor: raspberry, chocolate, medium and dark malts in a mix with much better balance than the aroma suggests. Adequate hops to keep this from being too sweet overall, although it does hit the tongue with a lot of sweetness. Feel: medium body with low carbonation and seems a tad too low. O: interesting

750ml bottle from Coppers Newcastle. Inky black with a large tan head of foam. It has a rich milk chocolate and raspberry flavour with vanilla and toffee notes followed by milk choc and more vanilla on the finish. Very unusual and very nice.

Bottle....smells like chocolate and raspberry. ..not much for pretzel. Very dark brown not much head. Watery, didnt expect that. Its got a zingy effervescence to it. Not a crunch of pretzel in this...maybe it would be good with pretzels? Anyway the raspberry and chocolate are nice. No big whoop.

Pours a dark brown black color with a longlasting small tan head. Has a fruity malty spicy raspberry and chocolate aroma. Fruity malty sweetish chocolate and raspberry flavor with bitter hints. Has a sweetish malty chocolate finish with hints of raspberry.

tasty brew that doesnít really drink like a beer - too sweet for that. Liked the raspberry. The chocolate too, though it seemed a little fake. Fun to have and Iíd get it again if it wasnít so expensive.

750ml bottle into pint glass. Chocolate nose. Black beer with solid tan head. Medium bodied. Taste of Raspberry and Cocoa. Fruity sour lingering aftertaste. Itís delicious but so so expensive.

22ozír at a bottle share. Dark pour with a tan head. Aromas of chocolate for sure. Some berry and cherry type fruits. Flavor fell off from the nose. Chocolate was more like mockolate. but still different and I like different.

Lovely big head, and a black body. Nose is sweet and confected, like easter egg chocolate. Taste is great. Much beerier than expected, itís a good dark malty beer, with some very sweet chocolate thrown in, plus maybe a splash of raspberry juice. I couldnít taste anything like pretzel.
