4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle served in a pint glass at PiBar - Lausanne.
A: Pours a light cloudy orange color forming a nice, creamy and soapy light yellow head. Good retention and lots of lacings formed and left in the glass
S: Sweet grains, herbal hops and tropical fruits. Notes of pine and pineapple. Caramel too
T: Slightly sweet upfront followed by a strong hoppy bitterness sting. Quite malty with a persistent dry bitterness in the end. Notes of caramel and wood. In overall, a dry and bitter taste. Very piny hoppy profile which suggests the presence of Chinook or Simcoe (or both) hops
M: Medium body and good carbonation. Dry hoppy bitterness as aftertaste
O: Good drinkability. My first Rogue. Classic American IPA. Recommend

Good looking, great tasting IPA. Not too heavy, and great balance. Nice head upon the poor.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"different than the old yellow snow, which is now the juniper pale ale. pretty good, but could be better. lots of bitterness and grapefruity hops tempered with some sometimes sticky sweet biscuity malt. two extremes. not exactly balanced, since both are so strong, but it’s a decent take on the style

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Distinct hip aroma. Nice amount of foam on the head. A bit cloudier than expected. Great body to the beer, wonderful hop flavor without the overwhelming bitterness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The liquid is hazy and has a medium amber color with a tall three to four finger head on top. Its just off white in color and holds on well, slowly fading to a light covering that makes cool lace rings all the way down the glass. Hops fill the nose with notes of lemon and lime citrus over herbal notes, green tobacco leaves and pale malt. The solid medium to full body sports a spicy mix of citrus and dank herbal hops on a base of pale mildly sweet malt. It finishes with slow lingering hop bitterness. Carbonation is well balanced giving it a smooth yet lively feel.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
’Ordinary’ IPA (by which I just mean not double or imperial) with rocky, snow white head and hazy peach blonde colour. Strong grapefruit aroma, flowers, orange peel, honey; smooth malty taste, explicit citrus freshness, rather strong carbo, spicy and resinous, long, elegant and very thirst-quenching hop bitterness. Very well balanced.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught. Cloudy orange with a white cratered head. Aroma is caramel hop. Flavour is bitter hop, but not overly so, grapefruit zest, long bitter really drying palate.
