4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Yellow orange body, lasting white head which laces throughout. Aroma of floral and citrus hops. Flavour is citrussy, notes of grapefruit and apricots, fairly decent malt backbone to balance the citrus hop bitterness that lingers on the palate. Good one.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Got to make the most of the US imports before the currency equation skews too wildly against the Aussie dollar. This is the sort of IPA that would make a happy regular in my fridge if the price was more appealing. Cloudy peach colour with a scant, unenthusiastic head. Nice ripe aroma soothes some doubts about freshness. Tinned pears, passionfruit, pears - is this the way to Amarillo? Great mouth-filling body. Lots of lovely resinous hops. Wish more Australian brewers had the courage to make high IBU ales. Salty. Rasping finish. (Pint bottle from Leura Cellars. BB 1/2/14)

What can I say - being that I love IPA’s this one is hard not to buy over and over again when I can find it. The lower ABV ( 6.2%) combined with the higher IBU (70) makes this one very drinkable if you love good hop presence.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
650 ml bottle.
Pours cloudy orange with some head and nice lacing. Nose is resin. Aromas are led by some very light fruit, then some flowery notes with big piney finish. Tastes are high bitter with some limited sweetness on the front end. Just shy of medium body with lively carbonation. A nice beer, not overdone.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy gold with a thin white head. Not much aroma, a little citrus, grass, but faint. Taste is bitter up front, hint of sweetness, then bitter finish. I like to think I enjoy bitter beers but this seems unbalanced to me.
