from Erzbierschif - cloudy dark orange beer under a solid and long lasting white foam; a fair hoppy aroma of mango and peaches; quite full-bodied and pretty chewy; solid and well-distributed bitterness; tasty and lively; slightly dry and with a long bitter hoppy finish of exotic fruits

The liquid is hazy and has a medium amber color with a tall three to four finger head on top. Its just off white in color and holds on well, slowly fading to a light covering that makes cool lace rings all the way down the glass. Hops fill the nose with notes of lemon and lime citrus over herbal notes, green tobacco leaves and pale malt. The solid medium to full body sports a spicy mix of citrus and dank herbal hops on a base of pale mildly sweet malt. It finishes with slow lingering hop bitterness. Carbonation is well balanced giving it a smooth yet lively feel.

’Ordinary’ IPA (by which I just mean not double or imperial) with rocky, snow white head and hazy peach blonde colour. Strong grapefruit aroma, flowers, orange peel, honey; smooth malty taste, explicit citrus freshness, rather strong carbo, spicy and resinous, long, elegant and very thirst-quenching hop bitterness. Very well balanced.

Transfer from BA review on 11-27-12- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a very hazed orange amber color with a big two finger off-white head. The head has a really nice level of retention. The big bubbles that compose the head slowly pop over time to leave a very nice level of lacing on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is rather light overall. It consists of citrus and piney hops smells as well as a little bit of a biscuit aroma. Taste – The taste begins with a bready and slight tangerine and tropical fruit sweetness. Mixed with these smells is a grapefruit hop bitter flavor. More toward the middle a lighter caramel sweetness and some pine hop flavors come to the tongue. The bitter pine and grapefruit hop tastes get rather strong at the end and leave a bitter hop taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average to just above average side in terms of creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. Both are pretty nice of the style as they accentuate the hop and malt without taking too much away from the very light sweet fruit flavors of the brew. Overall – A nice IPA. It starts out on the smoother and beadier side but comes rather bitter as the taste goes on.

Aroma floral. Coloração âmbar e turva, com boa formação de espuma (ótima retenção da mesma). Excelente carbonatação. Sabor bem amargo. Floral e cítrico. Retrogosto amargo e cítrico. Ótima opção de IPA.

Bottle from AmmersinO, Vienna. Orange, hazy body, with a big, creamy, white head, that leaves a ring-shaped lacing. Aroma of citrus, orange, red berries, some tropical fruits, caramel, grass. Taste is pretty much the same. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with a low carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry, with lemon zest, grass and some sweet malt notes. Nice one. Overall nothing special, but a smooth, fruity and also malty IPA, with a great drinkability.
