Public Ale House- Downtown Portland - Nov. 2008: Nice deep orange color, medium thin head. Orange and hops taste. Medkum intense nose. Almost a grapefruit like finsih. Nice and refreshing - round and balanced and you get a nice giggle out of the name- by far one of my favorite IPA’s.

Golden pour, super fluffy white head. Aroma is floral and piney, some subtle citrus as well. A biscuity malt backbone gives way to a string bitterness, very piney in nature. Medium bodied, dry finish. Solid IPA.

12 oz bottle served in a lager glass. Pours with a hazy copper body topped by a durable and creamy off-white head. Fine patterned lacing. Plenty of visible carbonation. Smooth medium body with medium+ carbonation and a touch of dryness in the finish. Aroma; herbal, floral and earthy hop notes with hints of baked bread and yeast. Flavor: follows the aroma but with prominent tropical fruits; moderately bitter with grapefruit peel in the aftertaste. O: a solid IPA. Ignore Frank Zappa this one time and eat the yellow snow.

Deep copper, moderate head and carbonation. Nice sweet nutty malts quickly cut by grapefruit hopping. These guys have a way with malts. Very nice ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bring on the Winter IPA’s! For some reason, I thought Rogue Yellow Snow was going to be in the White IPA subcategory with more sweet malts. Not so in this case. Yellow Snow is plenty bitter. Aroma is dank and earthy. Resin, pine, lemon zest, grass, cannabis, eucalyptus, and tea. Malt isn’t totally subdued. There’s some caramel in the aroma and flavor. Mouthfeel is brisk and reveals moderate carbonation. Really good stuff.

On tap at the brewery tap sf. Mostly clear golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting thin off white head. Aroma is odd, spicy pepper, little sorachi, lemon. Flavour is semi sweet base malts, cat pee, sorachi, spicy citrus hop. Assertive dirty, back of the throat bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation . little dishwater citrus character. Big back of the throat bitterness.
