3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
650 ml bottle.
Pours cloudy orange with some head and nice lacing. Nose is resin. Aromas are led by some very light fruit, then some flowery notes with big piney finish. Tastes are high bitter with some limited sweetness on the front end. Just shy of medium body with lively carbonation. A nice beer, not overdone.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma is like a sour grapefruit. Burnt hazy orange body nice fluffy white head that laces the glass nicely. Bold bitterness at first. The malt balances it out after awhile. Faint glimpse of fruit sweetness. Finish is a bit sour and flat. Another Rogue beer that fails to impress me.

At Matt's after TAP. Clear light brown-maple syrup. Creamy fizzy white head, long streaky big legs. Smells of resinous hop, sweet butterscotch maple syrup malt, Tastes deeply bitter, resin, lightly fizzy dry finish. Palate is crisp, bitter, dry airy finish. Nice rich aroma with plenty of crisp malt but taste is one-note resin dry bitterness.

Bottle from Craftissimo at home. Quite clear copper amber pour. Dense soapy head. Aroma is orange peel astringent hops. Taste is similar - very bitter hops with not a lot else. But good. Bitterness lasts. Really sharp tasting and resinous. Nice straightforward IPA.

Quite sweet, biscuity aroma, malty. Rich palate, good carbonation. Taste is quite malty for an IPA also. Reminds me of a "Fullers 1845" with some extra bitterness thrown in. A "greedy" beer that Iíd be happy to spend the evening with.

12 fl. oz. bottle. Pours a hazy, orange with a small, off-white head that laces. Sweet, fruity, hoppy, malty aroma with citrus and caramel. Sweet fruity, malty, hoppy flavour with notes of grapefruit, peach, orange, caramel, pine and grass, ending on a dry, bitter note. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This beer was not as bitter as your traditional IPA but it had a nice summer flavor that can be enjoyed through the summer months. I can't tell if it had a lemon hint or not but it was a nice citrus flavor.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours a hazy deep straw color. Very small head with minimal lacing. A very sour aroma and not much else. Taste mimics aroma. A just sour and tart nothing. I hope something is wrong with this bottle because it isnít good.

Rogue is a great brewery and this is a great beer. Their IPA is awesome and the hops are very fresh.

DATE TASTED: April 5, 2015... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint... OCCASION: Easter--truly, a blessed day... APPEARANCE: faint orange-yellow, hazy body that shows little life--the color of yellow snow indeed! frothy, articulate white head--as advertised... AROMA: strong pomegrnate and dull melon; tawny straw and haw; malts are biscuity and fresh... PALATE: impactful sour notes cause the taste to linger after each sip; smooth yet significant... TASTE: tangy hoppy, and biting, with a strong underpinning of dampening malts that balance the experience; mango, grapefruit and grain...OVERALL: the Amarillo provides the pungent citrus aroma and flavor that allow for a reasonable, drinkable IPA; glad to have found this t the Byram Shop-Rite, as I have not seen it around for a few years...in lieu of the Beer Advocate strand "Why people hate Rogue," I coincidentally rated this and have little reservation with its high grades--fragrant, drinkable, flavorful, and at the high end of the price point Iím willing to shop...
