COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In keeping with tradition, John Maier has again brewed a special beer for our anniversary. An ESB with floral notes and hopped with English Target and Challenger hops. Finished and dry-hopped with East Kent Goldings and fermented with Fuller’s Ale yeast. It wouldn’t be our anniversary without Rogue. Pouring all week on draught and cask condition.

cask conditioned. dull amber body, large-bubbled white head. nose and flavor are surprisingly "spiced", resembling spelt, rye, cardamom and other general grain and spice. a little touch of white pepper on the back end from the bittering hops is kind of enjoyable, though the oily finish and plastic notes take away some. so it’s a bit like soggy bread with some generic sort of herb and spice mixed in. medium-light body with enjoyable natural carbonation, but a bit disjointed and messy flavor-wise, and just a tad too flabby (low acid and weak malt structure).
