RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Jan 24, 2004 Nice. Hazy copper in color with a small white head. Lacing present. Aroma is almost whisky-like, sweet and malty. Silky smooth on the palate. Strong yet pleasant hoppy taste, consistent with the better Rogue brews. Overall, very nice. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jan 24, 2004 Bright, rubyish color, with a faint white head, that slips into a narrow ring. Aroma, sweet, fruity, malty, big cherries, tangerines. Taste: great hoppiness right off, dancing along the tongue, though never too bitter, just enough. Quite malty, smooth, with fruity flavor persistent throughout the drink. Nice, sweet finish, medium body, overall excellently balance. I'm not normally crazy about bitters, but Rogue made one that's nothing but pleasure. I could drink a million of these! Hangover (764), Atlanta, USA Jan 23, 2004 Otherwise known as cliffhanger ale, bottled for summits wayside tavern. Check it out if you're around Atlanta. Nose is of of sweet malts, light hops, and a faint floral aroma. Taste is nicely balanced, with a mellow malt presence up front, fading into a hop finish, with a crisp, slightly bitter aftertaste. Clean, refreshing, and very nice. Another well above average offering from Rogue.. GreatStelle (355), Chico, California, USA Jan 17, 2004 A light color beer with a small head. Very good bitter. Nice clean finish. I wish I bought more than just one. happy4hops (369), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Jan 16, 2004 Nice Rogue malt aroma(w/yeast)Orange color w/a decent head that rolls out quick/sparce lace.I liked the taste of this ale alot(decent hops)but hardly any bitterness really.A prickle on the palate at best(w/a somewhat dry finish) but overall very enjoyable. jeffc666 (1887), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Jan 9, 2004 Slighty hazy orange, light tan head. Good lacing. Big hoppy grapefruit aroma. Nice balanced malt hop flavor. Decent body. Nice beer overall. elsberry (87), North Carolina, USA Jan 8, 2004 Nice reddish copper color, with a thick creamy head. Not a pronounced bitterness, but a smooth, almost chocolate body, with a light floral aroma. A nice bitter. biermonk (259), San Francisco, California, USA Jan 6, 2004 Deep amber with a rich off white head that was fairly well lasting. Aroma was heavy with hops as was the flavor. Very dry to finish. Could've been better balanced but overall a fine beer.
