Bottle thanks to mora2000. Pours a clear yellow hued body with convincing legs. Aromas are of grass, bleach, mild waxy honey, alcohol, light floral citrus, not much kumquat. Flavors are very thin and waxy, crayon, plastic, and grain alcohol. Watery. No body, minimal flavor. Like vodka and flat club soda with some fermented out honey. Thin bodied, still, boozy and a bit tannic, light citric acid, no kumquats.

(750ml bottle, courtesy of Mora2000) Pours a clear pale yellow body with descent legs. Aroma of honey, florals, kumquat (Errl is the self-proclaimed kumquat daddy), and sage. Flavor of kumquats, sage, honey, chloraseptic, and light minerals in the finish.

Pours a Bud Light yellow hue. Smells of overripe fruit, earthy notes from a tropical jungle, kumquat peels, garden herbs. None of the actual fruit juice, oddly enough; just the associated overhead. Still interesting and pleasant in its own way.

Everything else is a disaster. Taste is way off: lacks honey, fruit, flavor of any kind, sweetness, and structure. Boozy finish with a lingering, watery Gatorade powder flavor. Mouthfeel similarly shit the bed and is nearly as light as water. Seriously, wtf?

Rohan's Blackberry shows these guys are capable of producing high quality meads, so I'm a bit confused why this one was so painfully bad. Avoid.

bottled, thanks to mora2000, clear yellow pour with hot fruits and a bit of thin paste, some antiseptic notes, hot finish

Yellow color. The aroma has some kumquat notes in it but there is a ton of alcohol also. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of hot alcohol notes, as well as some herbal notes and light fruit. Decent, but I wish the alcohol was toned down a bit.

(750ml bottle) clear gold, sheets the glass. Nose of kumquat, honey, citrus. Taste of watery citrus, kumquat, thin watery honey, unique mead but not my favorite.
