wunderbier (1266), Tampere, Rovaniemi over summer, Finland Mar 11, 2008 Pours a clear, medium copper hue topped by a large but short lived frothy, white head. Slick pils malt comes with a lightly toasted malt counter punch. Spicy and grassy hops could be a bit brighter and more forceful, but they certainly don’t go unnoticed. A little dusty at times with perhaps a touch of menthol. the flavour begins malty sweet, shifting to honey as floral hops kick in. The finish is dry and long with a menthol like cooling effect. Light to medium bodied with a slick texture and lively carbonation. Some good qualities, some bad, they average out to just about...average.
