Tap. Pours a hazy yellowish. Thin white head. hay, citrus, blueberry.medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, light body, fizzy. This beer for me has been hit or miss some times its so awesome wit the amount of blueberry coming thru. Very fresh. Other times it is kind of bitter almost like a alka seltzer. Its great when its good gross when its bad. This batch I had was good.

Rohrbach BlueBeary Ale is a slightly hazy golden ale with a small white blotch of a head with some rainbow bubbles. The aroma is of fresh, light grain, blueberry, lemon and orange peel. It is a slightly sweet and medicinal nose. It has a very smooth medium-light body with a pretty crisp finish. The blueberry is not as prominent in the flavor as it is in the aroma. It has nice balance and good bitterness, which seems to come from Cascades.

Presentation: It was poured from tap and served in a pint glass at the Rohrbach brewpub. Appearance: The body has a light yellow gold color with light haze and a small bright white head. The head slowly fades to wispy thin covering as I drink and makes a little bit of slick lacing along the way. Smell: In the nose I pick up a delicate light grain with mellow citrus hops and a light blueberry sweetness. Taste/Palate: Just like the nose, the flavor brings light pale grain and white bread maltiness with light citrus hops and a thin blueberry syrupy sweetness. The finish is light and fairly dry. Its light bodied and a bit thin but defiantly drinkable. Notes: Overall it’s drinkable and clean but not something I will be seeking out.

Sample at the brewpub on 7/1/13. Clear yellow pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma of blueberry extract and sweet malt. Malty flavor with a good amount of blueberry character before a sweet malt finish.

Biere tres rafraichissante.

Nice pale orange colour, insanely blueberry smell! Great blueberry taste, not much else though! (This rating is from early in November 2002 found on my palm) I'll add more to this later if they have it on tap again!

Tasted at Buffalo Brewfest: A very faint hint of blueberry in the aroma and flavor. Other than that, it was a decent pale ale. The blueberry ale was very popular with the ladies at the brewfest. It was decent, but nothing spectacular.

Sampled at Real Beer Expo (Rochester). Bright golden with a decent white head that doesn’t last. plenty of blueberry and a little malt on the nose. Blueberry up front with a peppery(?) finish. Med. low carbonation, med. body and some astringency.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2010 Growler from Beers of the World in Rochester, NY: Hazy golden hue. The blueberry flavor is intense, but in no way tastes like cough syrup. There’s a distinct touch of honey and sourness to it. Overall a wonderful beer. Great coupled with floating blueberries on top (served on tap at Magnolia’s on Park Ave. in Rochester, NY). #020 on 06142009, DG.

Had this at the Flour City Brew Fest. The malt with light hops gave it a decent body. The light Blueberry flavor at the finish was enjoyable.
