Rohrbach Brown Porter is a deep red-brown ale with a thin, sandy head. It has a roasty, chocolaty aroma. Itís pretty lightbodied; smooth with a pretty clean finish. It tastes chocolaty and roasty-- just like the aroma. Thereís a bitter, dark chocolate flavor at the finish. (I also tried this on cask at the Tap & Mallet and it had more of a nutty, toffee flavor.)

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A redish brown pour with a decent head. A sweet malty chocolate aroma. Flavor had some chocolate but not as malty as expected. Itís ok but not in league with their vanilla porter.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had this on a couple occasions on tap at the main location. Slight orange and red highlights in the brown murk. Sweet malty nose. Some chocolate and malt. Very creamy and sweet . To me though this palate was a bit out of balance and a mess, though I liked it better on tasting 2. Maybe a temperature or aging issue.
