I’m not a lager guy, but this one is truly delicious. Malty, toasty, really well balanced. Much higher quality than typical mass produced German lagers. On tap at Freie Neukölln in Berlin. Quite a quaffable beer.

Absolut in Ordnung. Klassich im Malz mit einigen Karamellnoten. Dazu leicht würzig und angenehme Trinkbarkeit. Kein Klassiker, aber alles ok hier.

On tap at Galopper des Jahres in Hamburg. The beer has got a light hazy red-brown colour with a small head and medium body. Aroma of malt, barley and bread. Taste of hops, barley, malt, nuts, caramel and bread. Good one.

Würzig malziger, mild getreidiger Antrunk. Intensiver im Mittelteil, steigende Herbe mit deutlichem Hopfeneinfluss, vollmundig. Gut! 10/11/11/11//11

I’m a big fan of this beer. It goes down real smooth. I especially like the deep red color.

Visited the brewpub in Berlin back in 2012: please to see this beer on tap at Galopper des Jahres, Hamburg, as It was not available on that brewery visit. Poured a good, clear amber colour with full and creamy white head. Aroma was of roasted/toasted malts, with hedgerow fruits and mild floral/grassy hop notes. Taste began semi-sweet with a caramel malt feel, the hops kicked in a bit later to give a drying and mildly bitter finish.

Draught at Galopper des Jahres, HH 12/14. Woody red malt aromatics with that distinct red ale reminiscence of a bough plenty with red berries. Shy caramel and more earthy branches in taste towards a sappy lemonade finish. Clean, well-behaved, unmemorable sessioner.

Kita (1368) - Koper, SLOVENIA - NOV 23, 2014
On tap at Galopper des Jahres, Hamburg. Clear amber color with thick creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of toasted malt, dark fruits, raisins and grassy hops. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel malt, follows by fruit esters and grassy sourness with notes of wood, smooth mouthfeel and light bitter finish. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Smooth and drinkable...

Third of a litre, served in a Pilsener style flute. A: Reddish bronze, semi opaque, small head which didn’t hang around too long, minimal lacing. S: Oak and dark chocolate but aroma wasn’t overly pronounced. T: Strong hints of oak, cherry and caramel, started on the sweet side, but bitterness increased slightly. M: Minimal carbonation, medium to thick body, fairly smooth. O: Hard to classify, for me more of a Dunkel, not outstanding but drinkable.
