This is our maple syrup brown ale. It throws a wrench in the works of the bland brown ale with it’s high A.B.V., which serves to balance and almost disappear the sweet from the maple syrup.

22 oz bomber into a tulip glass. Thanks match112! Pours a deep brown with a finger of sticky light khaki foam. Nose is caramel and toffee with some ash and mineral water. As it warms up the maple starts to seep in and get really sweet and heavy. Subtle dark fruit, marshmallow and tobacco. Taste is toffee and dark fruits with an ashy finish. Maple begins to explode the longer it sits. Very nutty and sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Really impressive brown with the maple coming across really well.

This was courtesy of Strykzone. It poured dark brown with a very robust beige head and moderate lacing. The nose is roasted malts and maple. Medium body. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is rich with maple ad chocolate. The finish is sweet. Alcohol well hidden. Really tasty and one of the best browns ever for me.

Mohogany brown pour with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, burnt sugar/molasses. Taste is roasted malt, nutty with a slight molasses aftertaste. Vert tasty. Has a little dry aftertaste. A nice brown ale.

Draft. Deep brown body with amber highlights. Tan head. Aroma of sweet malts, toasted grain alcohol, cocoa, maple. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter, finishing with hot alcohol. Medium body, velvety texture and lively carbonation. Sweet syrup taste along followed by lingering bitterness and peppery alcohol notes, though not enough to overpower the flavors. Enjoyable.

22 oz. bomber. This beer pours a dark brown pour with a medium tan head on top. Aroma of brown sugar, maple syrup, chocolate and caramel. Flavor is rich, mild brown sugar and caramel notes balanced by some hop bitterness and a touch of alcohol. Medium to full bodied. The remarkable thing is that there is no hint of the high ABV. This is a big beer you don’t realize is a big beer until your glass is gone.

Bottle from Friar Tuck in Springfield. A rich deep brown pour that has just a little larity. A nice beige foamy layer on top. An aroma of cocoa, earth, and maple. It brings a nice smooth and substantial feel. Chocolate leads the flavor profile. Grassy hops. Flavor is muted somewhat with what could be nitrogen. I don’t think it is but the effect is there. Bitterness almost does not exist here and sweetness is significant. There is a boatload of malts and grain in here and that maple takes the sweetness even further. This is my 3rd beer from this brewer and it is the third home run. I really like this.

Cloudy medium brown ale. Smooth creamy head. Sweet because of the syrup but not too much. Minimal hops. Quite nice. Serving: Bottle
