12 July 2014, tap at Rolling Meadows brewery. Orange, clear, some bubbles. Nose is sweet bread malt. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Slightly toasty malt and some grassy hops. Decent. Not a typical lager. Has a bit of malt taste.

Hazed amber pour. Smell is sweet with grains, fruits, slightly toasty. Flavor is nutty, slightly bitter, grass notes, toast, caramel, sweetn malt. Its decent among viennas but for fucks sake put it in 6 packs, for this ill cut the overall score in half.

From a 22 oz bottle courtesy of Strykzone. Thanks Dave. Poured a cloudy brown with a simply huge white head. Lots of carbonation here. Nose is caramel malts, toffee, and floral and grassy hops. Medium in body with a smooth creamy mouth feel. Like liquid velvet. The flavor is lightly roasted malts, and nuts. Light bitterness in the tasty finish. A very well crafted and tasty beer. Enjoyed this one a lot.

Sample at Madison Homebrew Club meeting. Filtered orange-tan. Light bodied, some corny cheap malt tones. Very close to domestic swill. Husky. Buttery aroma.

Pours a deep brown with beige head. Nose is dry and malty. Taste is dry, clean, a bit of rye, smoke, malt. Dangerously drinkable, but ultimately not very exciting. Good brew.

Bottle - fair size foamy head, nice medium amber color, sweet malty aroma and flavor with mild hops, definitely fuller flavored than your typical macro lager, better than expected ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle. Muddy, hazy chestnut brown pour with small white head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, mild crisp hops. Flavor has a lot of caramel, toffee, and some baked bread. Mild biscuit, toasted malt, and nutty notes as well. Medium bodied, finishes on a toasted malt note. Nice dunkel lager.

Draft at Brewhaus in Springfield. Almost clear dark golden. A decent layer of foam. Some soft noble hops along with grains and pale malts in the nose. That is pretty much what is tasted, too. The hops are a bit grassy and damp. They also add some brightness. As the beer warms a bit of earthy malts emerge. It mixes nicely with those hops. Then a spice pops up. It is akin to red hot candy. Ok, call me a fan of this. I cannot remember a more interesting American lager.
