There is more here than just barley, hops, and water. Unfortunately. I used to hate the stuff, but then I lived in Somerset County, PA for some years and found a way somehow to appreciate Rock for something beyond kidney flusher. Adequate.

Sweet corn aroma. Taste is mostly water to be honest. I think the best way to describe this beer is watery sprite that has had a lot of ice melt in it. There is a very mild hop bite in the finish.

From glass bottle. Bitter-crisp with a chalk-like bitterness, watery, and bland.

Skunks water. Smells like old pot! Taste very watery with that stale pot flavor all way through.

Boars a pale clear golden with a short quickly dissipating, smooth, white head. Powdery seltzer nose. Crisp mouthfeel. Faint flavors. Light green grape and stale yeast. Finishes mildly bitterly.

Pale yellow color with not much aroma. Light corn and grain flavor with some metallic hues. Not again.

My dads beer of choice...so I've got a soft spot. Better than the big boys but not by much. Less grainy and corny I think. Still just a lawnmower beer

16 oz can from Market Basket, because why the hell not? Deep yellow color with a huge frothy white head. Corny grainy aroma with light apples. The flavor is grainy lightly sweet bread with bits of polenta. Medium to light body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a crisp sharp mouthfeel. Goes down pretty smooth and somewhat quickly through my parched gullet.

Rolling Rock is a basic American adjunct lager. Appearance is very light straw (very low lovibond) with a small, but not thin, foam head. As an extra pale lager , appearance is much like a Bud Light or a Coors Light. Aroma is now strangely metallic. I don’t smell any hops nose at all nor would I expect it here. It used to be better when it was brewed in Latrobe, PA when it was an independent brewery. They even used to have the 7 oz. pony bottles of this which I don’t see anymore. Also, when they moved brewing production did they do away with the glass lined (thermos style) finishing tanks? Taste is rice with almost a very light sake vibe, then, corn, some slight discernible malt in that order. I will say it still has a distinct taste and is very sessionable. Almost a light beer at ABV 4.4%. Somewhat better than a regular Bud, Coors, or a Miller. It is also a bit cheaper in price since I guess you don’t pay for the marketing. . I do drink it occasionally. It’s not that bad a beer if you have no expectations. It is consistent in it’s distinctive taste and the price is always a plus when you don’t want to pay more $ for the other mass marketed USA adjunct beers.

This beer has practically zero smell and looks a bit like piss. It is very carbonated so the fizzy experience last throughout drinking this beer. From a taste standpoint, Rolling Rock really doesn't taste like anything. Like literally each sip of Rolling Rock leaves me scratching my head asking"what is this taste?" To conclude, overall this is a pretty boring beer and it's best used in a game of flip cup or beer pong. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty poor excuse for a lager not a lager lover but this is at the poornend of the scale. By anyone’s standards.
