1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Ungstrup (26476) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 13, 2004
A golden beer with a fine head. The aroma is sour and caramel. The flavor is caramel sticky, brewing cereal, no real bitterness, but a slight dryness from the hops and the body is thin. Just another boring international lager - too sweet.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Papsoe (25129) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 3, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Belgian version brewed by Inbev. It does however feel like a sacrilege to rate it as a Belgian beer, because, in essence, it’s an American lager. It says "extra pale" on the label. As if that’s a quality. But it is pale indeed, with a nice, tall head. Artificially provoked? With both corn and rice in the brew it is typically commercial. Very American macro, in the same range as Budweiser. 311003
