1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2015 Bottle: One shade away from pure transparency; "head" dissipates instantly. Aroma full of cereal grains, faint lager-yeast, and a shot of stale, musty hops. Very, very light, but not necessarily offensive. Intense carbonation snap on the tongue with more cereal grains, faint corn, and Noble-like hops in the taste with a crisp, lager-yeast filled finish. Easy to drink, best served cold. Though itís not what Iíd call good, Iíd take this over Bud any day.

Rolling Rock is a basic American adjunct lager. Appearance is very light straw (very low lovibond) with a small, but not thin, foam head. As an extra pale lager , appearance is much like a Bud Light or a Coors Light. Aroma is now strangely metallic. I donít smell any hops nose at all nor would I expect it here. It used to be better when it was brewed in Latrobe, PA when it was an independent brewery. They even used to have the 7 oz. pony bottles of this which I donít see anymore. Also, when they moved brewing production did they do away with the glass lined (thermos style) finishing tanks? Taste is rice with almost a very light sake vibe, then, corn, some slight discernible malt in that order. I will say it still has a distinct taste and is very sessionable. Almost a light beer at ABV 4.4%. Somewhat better than a regular Bud, Coors, or a Miller. It is also a bit cheaper in price since I guess you donít pay for the marketing. . I do drink it occasionally. Itís not that bad a beer if you have no expectations. It is consistent in itís distinctive taste and the price is always a plus when you donít want to pay more $ for the other mass marketed USA adjunct beers.

This beer has practically zero smell and looks a bit like piss. It is very carbonated so the fizzy experience last throughout drinking this beer. From a taste standpoint, Rolling Rock really doesn't taste like anything. Like literally each sip of Rolling Rock leaves me scratching my head asking"what is this taste?" To conclude, overall this is a pretty boring beer and it's best used in a game of flip cup or beer pong.

Had a couple pints at East Side Marioís on Front st. in Toronto, immediately after the 2012 FanExpo. On tap, unfortunately, poured in a green glass with Rolling Rock labels on it. Nice glass, but makes appearance pretty unnoticeable. Not much head so can tell that itís a pale golden colour at least. Not much aroma, some wheats/ grains. Flavour is about the same, very non descript, hidden citrus notes. Kinda disappointingly flat. Mouthfeel somewhat tingly. Meh.

Can. Have to say, I was not as disgusted by this as I thought I was going to be. It was even quite refreshing, although part of it might have been that I had it at the first outdoor barbeque of the season.

Not that great of a beer but not awful either. This belongs to the mediocre generic crowd. Aroma and taste of thin, watery wheat and corn. Little else going for it. Could drink it in massive quantities if you really needed to get drunk on crap beer I suppose.

Nice and mellow with a slightly sweet finish that leaves you wanting another sip. Refreshing on a warm day and light enough for year round enjoyment
