spikester (407), Salem, Oregon, USA Jan 17, 2008 Lot’s of hype surrounding this beer. Wish I’d known this brewery had closed and was being brewed in New Jersey now before I bought a short case. Costs a buck or two more than Bud or Miller and no better. A very light bodied pleasant tasting beer with a cool looking painted green bottle. Took me quite awhile to finish them all. If you are a fan of American macros it’s not bad. Just not a lot of flavor. If you don’t like the flavor of hops this might be just the ticket.
tangentrider (142), USA Aug 25, 2008 Very pale, clear beer with no head. Aroma is corn. Flavor is mostly missing. There is a touch of carbonation bite, but not much else. Finish is cereal and disappears quickly. Another "refreshing" beer--an insufficient measure. This one is off the buy list for sure. landshark (1), Greensboro, USA does not count Aug 25, 2008 Great summertime beer, Light and refreshing - Hopefully InBev will sell the brand again if the takeover of AB happens - Would love to see Samuel Adams buy it and move its production back to Latrobe, PA since they bought the Latrobe brewery SODAK14 (41), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA Aug 24, 2008 I tried this several times and I keep coming up with the same conclusion. It has kind of a skunky flavor but strangely it’s not too bad. I can actually see why some people really like it (especially in the region it’s made) but it’s just not for my palate. fata2683 (86), APO, New York, USA Aug 24, 2008 Of all of the light beers in America this is my favorite. It’s refreshing and has a nice twang of bitterness that others lack. It’s still no monster of a beer but I won’t hate on it. EricE (225), Beltsville, Maryland, USA Aug 21, 2008 Light piss yellow pour. No head. Skunky smell. Not completely bad. A bit of corn and fruit, but pretty terrible overall. A terrible beer.... :-(
