| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Clear golden pour. Slightly less bitter than the original, which provides for an improvement. nickd717 (1340), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Feb 5, 2009 On tap at Rolling Rock Town Fair 2005. Not as good as Rolling Rock, and that’s saying something. Pale yellow collor with fizzy white head. Corny, adjunky aroma. Flavor of a tiny bit of malt, rice, corn, some of the Rolling Rock-style bready quality, metallic notes, more adjunk, and a lot of water. Below average on the palate, fairly watery. lithy (1650), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Body is slight golden yellow with a thin fizzy white foam that dies instantly. Pretty offensive corn aroma. Taste is more bitter, adjunct malt, corn, and metal. Gypsy19 (622), California, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 31, 2009 As Premium Rock Light. Typical AB piss water. Very pale and boring, dull. There’s really nothing here, and I’m disappointed to see the 3 1/2 percent booze. This means I’ll have to drink an oil drum full of this shit to cop a buzz. Don’t waste your time or money. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Jan 26, 2009 I hate light beer. I found the comments of the previous rater hilarious...pair this with smoked gouda? This would be a hideous waste of smoked gouda. MrBunn (1527), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Nov 21, 2008 Bottled as Premium Rock Light. The laughable information that I found while trying to figure out whether recipes had changed between the Latrobe brew and the "new" AB one is this: On AB’s website, it recommends pairing this beer with a spinach salad with cheddar and smoked Gouda. What the heck?! The beer is basically fermented corn juice... I’d guess the Rock Lite crowd isn’t exactly your Gouda connoisseurs. Maybe Velveeta would work? Anyhow, pour is a pale yellow... quickly dying fizz head, aromas of grain and metal. A bit of a grain flavor... it might even be barley (comes off as exotic compared to some of the more corn-driven lights.) Then again, maybe it’s rice. A little bit of grass and grain dust in the aftertaste. Meh... SkyCop32 (286), Morlautern, Germany
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 26, 2008 I grew up with this beer near my hometown. This is a water version of Rolling Rock of course but not as bad as other light beers. This was a cheap alternative where I lived, this and genessee.
