1983 Vintage@Kulminator, 27 yr old when drank: almost no carbonation, very strong porto flavour, hint of sour wine, caramel, chocolate, spices, pretty much flat, the long aging really enhanced the porto-like qualities of this one, great aging

26/02/2011 - bottle @ Kulminator - vintage 1983(!) (2011-69)

Clear redbrown to brown beer. Aery off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: port, pretty sweet, spices, tangerine, chocolate. MF: very little carbon, medium body. Taste: orange peel bitter, spices, ginger prickling the tongue, some caramel and dark chocolate. Aftertaste: some mocha, chocolate, little sour touch. Amazing how well this beer is still standing after 28 years!

Yellow to light amber colour. Sour aroma. Sweet start. Low carbonation. Malty palate and finish. A bit too sweet.

This beer has a occer body - hue apperance and a fine white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a low carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is little bit sweet.

Darker blond with a small head. Fruity, slightly aged aroma. Malty, rather sweet taste with a hint of port wine. Lively palate with a slightly bitter finish.

Hazy orange gold colour with a large creamy head and light lacing. Very faint ripe fruit and light doughy yeast aroma. Medium body, light fruit and faint alcoholic, bitter/sweet start. Not all that much cheer in this supposed festive brew. Another average Belgian.
