Taste sweet, grainy malts, little bit bitterness.
Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 30, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Pours a pale pilsener golden with a neat, white head. Rather clean, malty base with a very soft mouthfeel. Perfectly balanced with a medium bitterness that fits the malt base. Very well made. 130598 JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 15, 2006 Pretty old bottle Gold, with a slight coppery shine; good dense white head, remarkably stable. Cake, oxydized, ambrée malts, sweet, and very slightly caramelized nose. Soft-sweet, again very cake-y taste, bit leafy or old greenery. In the finish there’s a reminiscence of bitterness. Light, but with a slickness as from an artificial sweetening. Held up amazingly good for this kind of beer. bierkoning (4691), La Tropica, Netherlands Aug 26, 2006 Bottle. Grainy aroma. Grainy, just a bit hoppy flavor with hints of mint and medecin. Short aftertaste. Not too bad.
