(12oz bottle HUGE thanks to go out to ericandersnavy) I love it when people bring expired pale lagers to tastings. I love it even more when people bring expired, retired, BLUE pale lagers to tastings, and this time was no exception. The deep glare of the blue liquid in the clear bottle before me scares me, yet intrigues me at the same time. Why is this blue? Isn’t it beer? Whatever. It pours a clear neon blue, almost like the blue you see in the neon signs at thousands of dry cleaners open signs around the country. Both are intoxicating and lure me in further. I had to rate the appearance at least a 2 despite its lack of all beer characteristics. It’s at least unique. There are a few bubbles on top, but not many. The nose is buttery, grains, fish, and white sugar. Perhaps this blue appearance comes from the beautiful island ocean waters, which would also explain the fishy aromas emanating from it. The taste is raw grain mash, cereal grains, and more white sugar. The body is very watery and there is absolutely no linger of what I call beer. In fact, I’d say this unholy marriage of food coloring, salt water, fish, sugar, and god knows what else is perhaps best left to age in any cellar in which it remains from henceforth. That is unless you’re trying to punish an innocent bystander, or perhaps poison one’s enemy. This stuff was not good, and no one should ever drink it again. Again though, gigantic thanks to ericandersnavy for this gem!!!!

(12oz bottle, with much gratitude to ericandersnavy) Pours a clear neon blue with a spare white head. At my tasting we all practically dared each other to drink this. Aroma of tuna can and grain. Flavor of grain, dough, and some odd off flavors that I cant identify. Somewhat dry finish.
