wow! worse than coors light, with blue dye - the food wasn’t that good either (at quark’s in the hilton, las vegas)

Received as a gift from co-worker who acquired this in Las Vegas at the Star Trek Hilton Experience. Pours a dark violet blue brew with light blue/white head that quickly dissipates clean with no ring nor any lacing. Aroma of corm malt, some light citrus hops and a touch of vegetable. Taste is light bodied, well-carbonated with a very gritty grain flavor. Finish is just as gritty as its flavor. I was not impressed with the blue tongue after the finish. A total drain pour! WTF mate? At lease it knock off my missing El Salvador country rating.

Thanks to ghawener. Fun drink (not beer). Must be extremely fun to drink in a European bar with black lights since it colours your teeth and lips blue. Pours into a deep blue liquid. After that, taste of malt and artificial coloring.

Bottle: Definately the strangest brew so far, flourecent blue hue and bright medium head, colour teeth, mouth and lips bright blue. Great laber design, overall a must try.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2007 Originally reviewed back on 1028/05. Received 1.6 score. Added to my RB list to check "El Salvador" as a beer country consumed. Received in a trade with Glenn. An oddity and somewhat of a prank. Blue-tinged monstrosity with the added disgust of chemical corn aromatics. Husky flavors. A not well put-together beer. A fad. And I don’t even care for Star Trek all that much too! (I’m a Star Wars geek instead...)

A buddy of mine gave this to me. If you are a Star Trek fan, this will be a good choice but don’t expect too much. Not a good beer but something cool.

Good as a Novelty beverage, downs like water at a Las Vegas Price, so might as well have this.
