330 ml. bottle @ home. Obtained in the big Israeli trade. Apparently the #2 Israeli beer on RB. I have had the entire top 5 from Israel. Lightly hazy very dark amber beer, solid lightly off-white head. Nice lacing. Nose is sweet pine resin, grapefruit, oddly slightly umami, meaty, faintly reminiscent of smoked malts, interesting. Taste is bitter typical pine resin, sweet pine cones, umami, slightly smoked feeling pine resin, pine cone taste, odd sweetish spices, thick caramel malts, light herbal, touch peel, quite umami taste, quite herbal, orange peel, rather malty with thick pine taste,… Thick malty body, thick mix. of malts & hops. Quite umami for an IPA which surprisingly really feels like a DIPA. Very umami, quite interesting, I have some mixed feelings about this one. I guess that it is turning me a bit away from it, I won’t give it stellar marks but decent marks still since it was quite interesting.

A surprising and exceptional find in Israel. Excellent balance of hops and fruit. A wonderful ipa that could match many of the best coming out of the NW of the USA.

Bottle, 0.33l, courtesy of Miha. Cloudy amber brown color with large soapy off-white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, peach, pine and some yeast. Taste starts with light sweet caramel malt, following is resinous and fruity, mouthfeel is spicy, while finish is heavy bitter with long pleasant aftertaste. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Well done peppery IPA...

5/XII/14 - 33cl bottle from a trade @ home - BB: n/a (2014-1463) Thanks to kerenmk for the trade!

Clear dark orange to amber beer, big aery yellowish head, little stable, pretty adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: piny and resinous, sweet caramel, somewhat sweet and malty character, fruity touch, some strawberry jam (ageing?), a bit off. MF: lots of carbon, too much actually, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, bit chemical, very harsh piny bitterness, almost medicinal, soft fruity notes, some caramel, little sweet. Aftertaste: very bitter, medicinal, resinous, very dry, bit chemical.

Backlog rating. Bottle at CBC Clerkenwell, Gunnar tasting. Thanks to Chris for this one. It pours an unclear golden color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy, with notes of grapefruit peel, lime leaves and hay. Taste is moderately sweet and bitter, with a tangy finish. Notes of grass, wet soil, pine cones, citrus peel, lemon juice, grains. Light bodied lively carbonation. Overall, ok

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2014 9/12/2014 On tap, 100ml during Beer 2014 festival tasting. Amber color with beige head. Aroma of fruits, orange, chocolate, slightly sweet. Full bodied, medium carbonation. Tastes quite bitter but not to assertive, slight sweetness. Nice sharp bitter tanginess. Flavor is monotonousness, mostly same sharp bitterness all-over with some background sweetness with some mild grassy-herbal hops flavors. Slightly too alcoholic and phenolic. Quite heavy filling, yet refreshing, it’s pretty boring, but overall nice and well made. Ar/Ap/T/P/O: 7,3,5,4,14 = 3.3 25/10/2014 Bottle 330ml. Pours dark amber brown. Head is tall, off white and mostly lasting. Aroma of sweet dried fruit, wine, wood, grassy, sweet malt, bitter hops scent. Mouth feel is rich and creamy, full bodied with good medium-strong carbonation. Taste is bitter at first with some background sweetness. Then slightly sweet at first and ending bitter. Flavors of fruits and dried fruits, hop, sweet dark malt, wood, phenolic, cloves, herbal bitterness, sweet caramel malts, hoppy sourness. Very complex, with interesting bitter - sweet tastes interchanging. Doesn’t get boring. Only downside is some assertive phenolic taste, which is unpleasant. This beer gets nicer and less assertive from sip to sip, and as it gets warmer. Drink slowly. Not light and quite warming. Alcohol is only slightly feelable. Ar/Ap/T/P/O: 6,4,5,4,11 = 3.0
