At Rooie Dop, we don’t really care about styles. But this is our version of an American IPA. Classic example of the style? Fits perfectly into the category? No. Does it need to be? It just needs to be pretty tasty! Chinook and Cascade hops dominate this beer and are assisted by a biscuity malty backbone. You just can’t resist a Chica Americana!

Hazy copper color, medium white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, orange, piny hops. Taste is similar, quite sweet and fruity with hoppy bitter finish with warming alcohol burn in the end. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice fruity IPA.

Belle robe orangé, très mousseuse. Arome de malt grillé, d’orange, de fleurs. En bouche, amertume longue en bouche, biscuit à l’orange, finale fruitée. Très agréable !

Hazy medium to dark copper with a lacy, white, lasting, soapy head. Smells of zesty orange and lemon citrus, yeast and caramel malt. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Zesty orange taste at the start with sweet caramel, and a pine, yeast and peach sour finish. Hoppy and refreshing. A great IPA.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2013 Deep hazy orange color, huge off-white cloudy head, lace. Dull yeasty, vegetably nose with some frutyness. Medium-bodied. Fruity hoppyness, some alcohol, semi sweet. Flavor is better than aroma. (5/4/6/3/12 3.0)
Re-rate. Bottled 29/05/12 330ml Tnx Edo. Hazy amber color, huge cloudy off-white head. Hayish citrusy hoppyness with some apricot jam. Medium-bodied. Some wood and sticky fruityness in the front. Then citrusy grapefruity bitterness lingering in the aftertaste. Foamy mouthfeel. Not quite the most refreshing flavor profile, but not too bad either. (7/3/7/3/13 3.3)

A huge head and a pouring have to do as a multiple parts. A beer is orange and lively, a head is slightly soapy. The nose is tropical, mangos, fructose, lots of citrusfruits. Taste is quite strongly bitter, but also tropical and fruitfull with mangos. The bitterness is grapefruity and slightly piney. Medium bodied, high carbonation, but that works. Tastefull beer even the age is already at 1,5 years, what this beer would be as a new? Balanced bitterness and tropical fruits.

Aroma: Pine and mango with a hint of tangerine over a slight caramel candifloss note. Appearance: Red-golden, hazy with a small off-white head. Taste: Herby and piney, musty bitterness leading to a slight biscuity and burnt sugar end. Palate: Medium body, slightly sticky with soft carbonation. A short, hot end. Overall: Too sluggish to be a great IPA.
