A strong taste is provided by chocolaty and roasted malts, which are combined with soft smoothness from the oats. Add up a little bitterness from Columbus hops and you’ll get a dangerously drinkable Double Oatmeal Stout!

Malts: Pale, flaked oats, Cara, Black, Special B, roasted barley.
Hops: Columbus, Saaz

pours unclear very dark brown with an amost abnormal light beige head, good retention and lacing. dirty cheap molasses, roasted sweet malts, tons of ashes, bittering and spicy awkward colombus, pepper, grass. average if not lively carbonation for style, light to medium body, sweet and mineral-ashy finish. blah. DP.

Een typische stout waar ik sowieso al geen fan van ben. Een heel uitgesproken sterke smaak

Bottle: Purple/black with a dark tan ring. Aroma of smoked oats, chocolate roasted malt. Espresso, char/ash bitter flavour. Very dry...huge burnt bittering. Rich, robust...barely a hint of sweetness. Like drinking the liquefied staves of a burned barrel. Loved it.

Dark reddish brown, with no head. Oily in appearance. Aroma of chocolate and malts, and a slight bit of cheese. Lots of molasses and fruitcake starting off sweet and sticky and ending a bit bitter and astringent.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours very dark brown. Aroma of dark malt and dark fruit. Med + body. Flavor is dark treacle, dark fruit, and possibly some bitter hop. Not to mention chocolate coming into the finish. It’s good ale, and more complicated than my descriptive skills can handle.

Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours near black with a small but attractive tan head and a roasted chocolate aroma. There is a rich smooth chocolate flavor with a nice bitter finish Very tasty.

Definitely a lot of oatmeal aroma in this which I don’t always sense in oatmeal stout. Breakfast aroma of coffee poured into oats without cream. Pours dark brown with bubbly initial head and not much lacing. Some roast with light bitter finish. Some chocolate as well. Tap at Churchkey.
