A strong taste is provided by chocolaty and roasted malts, which are combined with soft smoothness from the oats. Add up a little bitterness from Columbus hops and you’ll get a dangerously drinkable Double Oatmeal Stout!

Flat dark brown pour. No head, just a couple bubbles. No lacing. Big aroma of coffee. That’s really about it, just roasted barley. Taste is a very bitter front with a tangy finish. A little more sour than anything besides Gueuze should be. Maybe it will age better?

Bottle. Blackish brown beer with a very strong bubbly head. The aroma is rich and roasted, and the flavour is very, very strongly malty with large amounts of roasted bitterness. Overall though a pretty average imperial stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Picked up at the bottle shop at De Molen many manny months back. The 33cl bottle, filled right to the tippy top mind you, pours a bottle conditioned too long mammoth three inch mocha head. The aroma is punctuated by the effervescent carbonation pushing up burnt malts, malt balls, chocolate and a light dark roasted coffee note. The taste is nice with dark roasted malts, some mild burnt malts, dark roasted coffee and a mineral sort of yeasty note. It gets chocolate malt balls here and there too. This is tasty stuff indeed.

Pours a huge light brown head, frothy at teh bottom, rocky at the top. The head very slowly diminishes. Body is black. Aroma contains forest or red fruits, citrus fruits, oatmeal, caramel, licorice, chocolate, coffee, roasted and burnt malts, alcohol and raisin. Flavor starts off light acidic, to go to sweet. There's light bitterness all the way, which grows stronger in the dry finish. Texture is creamy, body medium to full, carbonation soft. This beer is full of aroma's, but there's a bit too much of the roasted malts for my taste. Still, very good.

Poured very dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of sweet alcoholic malt with dark chocolate and coffee undertones. Medium. smooth body, flavour similar to the aroma with a residual bitterness.

Bottle bought from the Pigs Ear Beer Festival. Black pour with a tan head. Dark fruit nose with strong hints of raspberry ripple, vanilla and some light coffee notes. Quite smooth. Flavours of black treacle, demerara sugar and dark chocolate, Rich roast flavour. Dry. Very nice.

Bottle acquired via trade with Benzai! Dark onyx pour with an almost chocolate milk consistency. Toasted granola, cocoa, Starbucks, honey-baked biscuit, and molasses all present. Coats the palate well. The alcohol is invisible, definitely not distracting. Truly delicious beer!

330ml Bottle (Thanks Benzai) - Black with a foamy tan head. Interesting and distinctive aroma with notes of coffee, chocolate and some tart malt. Roasted, malty and hoppy taste with liquorice, coffee and plain chocolate detected. The taste is quite pleasant, but there is a slightly unpleasant element to the aroma which spoils it a little.

Beh a me è piaciuta tantissimo. Davvero buona.
