Bottle at home. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee hits home, and you know: this is the good stuff. The beer was a little too cold, so I let it warm up a bit first in the bottle. Color is dark / black, with a medium tan head. Quite some retention for a stout like this. Medium to full body of roasted malts and coffee. Texture is medium. A lot of hops and bitterness in the finish. Works for me. Very drinkable.

Osservazioni: Di colore marrone scuro impenetrabile; schiuma leggera che svanisce rapidamente. Aroma di cioccolato, malto tostato, caffè, caramello, frutti scuri e luppolo speziato. Al gusto inizia con un tocco di acidità fruttata, che viene rapidamente sovrastata da cioccolato dolce e ricco, malto tostato e liquirizia; al palato si riscalda con moderate note alcoliche, mentre il finale regala una piacevole amarezza. Corpo pieno, consistenza oleosa e leggera carbonatazione. Tenore alcolico importante (9,6%), ma di eccezionale bevibilità.

Bottle. Black with small beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, dry cocoa, black currant. Marzipan and sour cherries, deep rye with strong aniseed and licorice. Light tart taste with a nice underlying sweetness and roasted bitter finish. Medium to full bodied and slick feel. Very nice stout. Good imperial stout.

Pours brown-black. Toffee-head leaving generous lacing. Aroma is expresso, baker's chocolate, roasted malts, with notes of hops and spice. Flavour is more bitter than the nose would suggest with hops balancing the roasted malts and chocolate. There are also hazelnut notes. Moderate body. A very solid oatmeal stout.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting, from Kihiosk, Copenhagen. ABV is 9.6%. Black colour, huge and lasting tan head. Moderate malty and roasty aroma, notes of caramel, chocolate, oats and mild coffee. The flavour has notes of molasses, oak, caramel and roasted malts, also chocolate and coffee. Quite good.

Bottle at Pigalle. Roasty, chocolate, bit sweet. Taste is boozy, oats, good stuff. Had drunk a lot by this stage, so a bit hazy.

Bottle shared by a friend. Darkest brown pour with a thin beige head. Aroma of malt, dark fruit and molasses. Malty and raisiny flavor with some roast before a chocolate finish.

Deep black with minimal head. Nose of dark chocolate, roast malt, faint smoky coffee and dark fruit. Flavor is a pretty even mix of roast malt and dark fruit (plum, raisin, dark cherry) with some caramel and bitter chocolate. Lingrering grainy roast. Bitter chocolate.
