COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong taste is provided by chocolaty and roasted malts, which are combined with soft smoothness from the oats. Add up a little bitterness from Columbus hops and you’ll get a dangerously drinkable Double Oatmeal Stout!

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2014 (Drinking date: 23 January 2014) Pitchblack colour, no light comes through. Layer of creamy, beige foam, which disappears to a small layer. The aroma is good. What you can smell is a delicious hoppy smell. You can also smell chocolate, burned malts, a bit of alcohol, and roasted malt. The taste is really delicious. It is bitter, but not too bitter. You really taste the roasted malt, with a bit of a sweet taste, just a little bit. Also a chocolaty taste. Bitterness of the burned malt and hops. The beer has a more bitter aftertaste, where the bitterness of burned malt and the hops are present, which tastes very good. The alcohol leaves a warm feeling in my mouth and throath. The carbonation is exactly right, it is just a little bit, which is good for this beer. The body is also good. Good, full body. It feels really soft, which I like. Overall, this is a really good and delicious beer, with a good bitterness of the hops and the burned/roasted malt, but not too bitter. The aroma is good but can be a bit better. But overall, this beer is really good and delicious and I really enjoyed drinking this beer! That?s why it gets the total score of 4.4

33cl bottle @ Rooie Dop Fab Friday. Black color, very small brownish head. Aroma coffee, dark chocolate, bourbon or konyak notes, slight dark fruity flavor, and of course roasted malts. Taste light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Slightly sticky texture, low carbonation, moderated bitter finish. Strange that I feel some kind of bourbon side taste however this is not the bourbon barrel aged version.

Bottle 0.33l. Pours almost black with large beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, phenol. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter, roasted malt, dried fruit, slightly sour, touch of smoke, dark chocolate. Aftertaste is slightly boozy but overall alcohol is well hidden for 9.6 ABV. Oily with very soft carbonation. Great Stout.

This beer does not taste like 10%. A smooth, dark, malty brew with coffee & cherry chocolate tones. Rated by BrewTom

Something is missing with this one. A long burny bittersweet aftertaste but without any power. Some chocolate, oats etc. There are much better dutch beer around in these type of beers.

Pours a pitch black colour with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, prunes, toasty oatmeal. Flavour is medium sweet with some hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Very nice!
