Poured without almost any foam at all, and I got a bit worried, but when I smelled it I got my hopes up again. The aroma brings quite a big handful of those notes you expect from an imp. Dark and heavy smells from chocolate, coffee with that roasted punch. The taste is also up to par with the aroma, itís a bit thick in the mouth feel and smooth from what I guess is the oatmeal. Soft coffee roasts with a hint of charcoal. A pretty long medium bitter sensation sets in and lingers for quite a while. This is a really good oatmeal stout and I was really impressed.

the aroma of caramel, chocolate and toast with hints of licorice and candy... the taste is caramel and chocolate with shades of dark fruits, forest berries and some spices... sweet and dry and spicy aftertaste...

330ml bottle. No two glasses of foam here! Pours jet black with very thin Brown head. Aroma is coffee, lots of malts, chocolate and licorice. Taste is coffee, molasses, licorice, bitter burnt toast and a slightly sweet aftertaste.

Bottled March 2012. What makes De Molen brewed beers so foamy? This one filled two glasses with foam. Black, absolutely massive foamy brown head. Aroma is sweet stawberry, coffee, bourbon biscuit, leather. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is coffee, ash, burnt porridge, pine hop, twiggy. Very burnt flavour so that itís really dry, sandy and almost tastes peated. Pretty unique. Iím really torn on this one.

Pours black with a brown lacing. Aroma of hard roasted malts, a weird tart note as well, some hops as well, some grains, somehow fresh unprocessed malts, cocoa and some weak coffee. The taste has that same weird tartness to it along with some pretty bitter hops and hard roasted malts. Bitter coffee, cocoa beans and some grainy malts. A bit off - donít know if there was something wrong with this bottle?

Bottle. Pours a pitch black with a small, short lasting, brown head. Aroma is a little odd. Lots of oatmeal, hard roasted malts, slight chocolate, very old hops. I think that the odd flavors comes from the oatmeal. It smells like it was almost sour or infected when it was put into the beer. Taste is very bitter or acrid up front with some sour stuff to it. Very roasty, but also some chocolate malts that reminds me of hot chocolate. Not explicitly infected, but something is slightly off here.. Hmm.. Medium carb and full body

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aromas of cocoa, vanilla, Milk chocolate, some weird sour notes, hoppy bitterness, some malt. Taste is cocoa, vanilla, some coffee roast, pretty sour notes, licorice, lots of bitterness. Pretty off to be honest. Infected maybe?
