4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle@Brew dungeon tasting. As a newly brewed beer it is not that special, just a nice stout. I also had the opportunity to drink a bottle of Double Oatmeal Stout made as test brew #16, almost 2 years old: This aged beer is so much better than a fresh brew. So a tip, put it in storage for 1 year or more.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle. Pours black with a huge light brown frothy head. Excellent appearance. The aroma is soft cocoa, vanilla, roasted malts and hints of red grape. Sweet taste, quite a lot of cereals along with cocoa notes and hints of licorice. No coffee or hoppy bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel, perfect carbonation. Overall a really nice sweet Imperial Stout, but I personally prefer others.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle at home. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Roasted bread, and bourbon. Had this after I had the Bourbon Barrel Aged one, which made this a bit dissapointing. It’s still a great stout, but misses the great aftertaste the Bourbon one has.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
dark brown colour, moderate brownish head; aroma of roasted malt, some coffee and minimal vanilla, apple and alcohol; taste of roasted malt, coffee again and hints of alcohol; much less complex and intensive taste compared to the bourbon barrel aged version; a bit like a light version, otherwise ok stout

@Nederlandse Bieren Festival Delft - Bitter, roasted malt aroma. Has a very rich, creamy texture. Flavour is bittersweet with some coffee grinds. Some sweet fruitiness comes through in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Cask Pub & Kitchen. Pours black with a very big light tan head which lasts for the duration as it settles down. Solid lacing. Hugely sweet vanilla with some heavy chocolate biscuit. Sweetness is in your face. Notes of porridge reminiscent of the oats. Sweet oats in the taste with chocolate milkshake tones and heavy vanilla. Chocolate is all there. Light creamy mouth feel with light bitter finish. Solid stuff

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, 17/05/13. Gushes straight out when opened. Pours black with a huge, dark latte-colored head. Takes about three quarters of the 610ml wine glass. Aroma is a lot of oats, light roast, some coffee and a touch of weird fruitiness? Taste is semisweet with salty liquorice, some ethanol, a lot of roast and a touch of coffee. Quite full, too much carbonation.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
330 ml long neck bottle, poured into a snifter. ABV 9.6%
Very very deep brown co,our on the body, almost black, with a huge beige head on top, thick and soapy, with excellent retention, leaving light to medium lacing as it goes down very slowly.
Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, a little bit of vanilla.
Taste is bitter from the very fisrt little sip, with tons of roasted malts and coffee. A bit of a fruity aftertaste, although the coffee flavour overpowers everything else. The alcohol very well hidden on the taste.
Thick body, soft carbonation, sticky and dry on the palate.
Very good beer, I thought it to be expensive when I bought it but it turns out it worths every cent.
