UPDATED: AUG 13, 2014 What a nice full aroma of fruity hops and sweet bitterness! Nice amberlike colour and a small white head. Strong bitter in the mouth with a nice smooth and sweet hoppy aftertaste. Rooie Dop is very great in gving you a Hop experience. A great way to explore how hops can be very strong of taste but in a subtile sweet way! Very great with a spanish or Italian sausage! :D

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold/orange. Nearly no head, what there is dissipates quickly. Nose is floral and grass hops, fresh. You know what you are getting into! Medium bitter; body/carbonation medium as well. Bitter all the way - from the get go and dry lingering finish. Love it! Could have had a bit more body, more carb, but truly lovely!!

Cloudy amber brown with minimal white head. Aroma is very intensive hops, resin and... freshly grated potatoes (seriously), some pear. Very fruity, bitter, very low carbonation, a lot of grapefruit notes.

Bottle, bottled 22/11/13. Lightly hazy orange/copper pour, flat pour (very thin veil of white head formed slowly). Aroma is fruity, resinous, yeasty notes, quite a bit of caramel, pear and grapefruit. Has a bit of a homebrew twang to it that isn’t bad, just a little strange. Taste is quite potent, boozy, very bitter, light caramel flavors that unfortunately can’t uphold the alcohol or IBUs. Palate is full bodied, with light carbonation. Lots of potential here, but the under carbed palate and over-boozy/over-bitter flavor bring this beer down a bit.

Bottle, 330 ml. Poured into a tulip at home. ABV 8.7% Pours a dark orange copper colour, hazy body. One finger of off-white head on top, with okay retention. Big bubbles islands on the surface and light lacing left behind, after the head collapsed. Aromas of malts, aromatic hops, pine, orange peel. Taste is bitter from the beginning and becomes even more bitter on the aftertaste. Malt sweetness on the finish balances it a bit. Hints of alcohol, orange peel and zest, pine, grapefruit, some tropical fruits. Medium thin body, low carbonation. Overall very good!

Bottled Sep 2013. Hazy dark orange / red with no head at all. Smell - flowers, sweet malts, tangerine. Body - medium with light carbonation. Taste - sweet, watery grapefruit juice. Soft musty bitterness. Drinkable and enjoyable. Smell is much more intense than the flavour. Good.
