Bottle at home (bottled 02/09/14). Pours a dark amber with a white head. Aroma of hops, malty caramel, floral, piney hops, fruity too, tangerine, orange. Taste is sweet malty with hoppy bitterness, floral, bit herbal piney, bitter herbal hoppy aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle from World Beer Market. Aroma is boozy, sharp citrus fruitiness, grapefruit, plasticine! Taste is nice, initial light citrus bitterness, sweet and boozy, malty, and then a hop burn at the end. Minerals. I like this as it slowly reveals it’s stuff rather than slaps you in the face. Something a little creamy about the finish too later on down. Pineapple, keep finding that in beers at the moment. I like it!

Nice copper colour, lots of yeast chunks, weak white head, opaque. Citric smell, subtle cherry, hint of mandarin, some leather. Taste is fiece bitterness with surprising sweet undertone. Finish is astringent, lots of grapefruit peels, almost numbing the lips. Refreshing.

Bitter bier dat lekker ruikt en smaakt maar in de verste verte niet kan tippen aan de meeste amerikaanse double/ipa’s. Heeft een mooie kleur maar bijna geen schuimkraag. Is veel te duur voor wat je krijgt.

[9/28/14] Draught sample at Borefts After Festival 2014 in Rotterdam. As “Ot The Explorer Double IPA Festival Edition”. Amber. Aroma of malt, caramel, a bit of biscuit and a bit of piney hops. Sweet flavor, malty, with caramel, some biscuit and a bitter finish with piney and citric hops. Medium to full-bodied.

Bottle from Vinspecialisten, Aalborg. Hazy deep orange with an lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. Very soft for a double IPA. 091014

Bottle from Asahiya. Rich caramel, fragrant cleaning solution or soap, near pungent hopping, good citrus/pine. Hazy copper/amber color, filmy head, good lace. Initial is as advertised by the aroma, rich sweet caramel, peaches. The hopping enters unobtrusively and intensifies and melds with the caramal to a distinct fruitiness. Medium-heavy body. Flavor-packed, but very gentle and smooth. Great.
