Bottled Sep 2013. Hazy dark orange / red with no head at all. Smell - flowers, sweet malts, tangerine. Body - medium with light carbonation. Taste - sweet, watery grapefruit juice. Soft musty bitterness. Drinkable and enjoyable. Smell is much more intense than the flavour. Good.

Aroma: Apricot, tropical fruit and an undertone of alcohol. Slight floral and caramel notes. Appearance: Red-amber, hazy with minimal/no head. Taste: Sweet with an alcohol hotness, subtle bitterness and limited hop characteristics. Develops a dank aftertaste. Palate: Medium bodied with a sticky texture, medium carbonation and a hot finish. Overall: Either an old bottle or they forgot the hops. Disappointing.

This only gets a relatively low grade because of the aroma and appearance, not a fan of the murky orange. But apart from this the beer gives yoy everything you would expect from a Rooie Dop beer. Great bitterness and flavor with an extra bitter kick in the aftertaste. Bottle from Burg Bieren Ermelo.

Very hazy gold - amber beer. Good size bubbly cream coloured head. Light palate, semi dry with modest carbonation. Light malt, semi dry. The hops are vibrantly fruity. Lovely orange, tangerine and blood orange. Clementine and satsuma lovliness too! Mild touches of pith and lemon. Finishes soft and semi dry. Wonderful flavour, if the palate was better it would be mid 4s!

0,33 l bottle, De Molen shop, courtesy of Balazs, thanks!
Poured murky peach with a creamy off white head. Strong grassy-piney-herbal hop flavor with some raisins and honey, vanilla and malt. Oily body with a bit of the sweet tons of malt but owerpowerewd with a huge ammount of hops. Bitter, resinous finish with grape and grapefruit, herbs and resin. Fine, bittersweet aftertaste. A bit disagreeble, aggressive hop in the aftertaste.
