2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tnx Edo. Bottled 10/2012, 330ml. Deep ruby color, big cloudy brownish head, lace. Ashy, coffeish, a bit earthy and berryish aroma. Medium-bodied. Ashy, coffeish flavor. Berryish, a bit sour. Foamy mouthfeel. As many other real coffee beers, this doesn’t work well. Probably not in top condition.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a pitch black beer with a good tan head. Smells heavy coffee and chocolate. Tastes a bit disappointing. Mild coffee, little bit chocolate and a bitter finish. No carbo, thin body and a sticky texture.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
I love the smell of this beer! Roasted but elegant, I can almost taste the beans already.
Beautiful dark color but the head disappears quickly. Still has a nice cling.
Tastes Great! Nice coffee bitter just like I love it. I guess its a beer for people who love dark chocolate and coffee. If not you probably will hate it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Quickly diminishing (maybe because of coffee beans?) tan head on pitch black liquid, fizzy carbonation. Definitely full body, but extreme roasty notes in both aroma and taste make it a little bit hard to drink more than 0,33 l. Very interesting though.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black, small offwhite head, lots of carbonation. Porter with coffee. Aroma is malty, roasted, caramel and coffee. Tastes fizzling, lots of carbo. A bit sourish in the aftertaste, didn’t expect that. Sour porter, strange..

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
very dark colour, not too much, creamy beige head; aroma and taste is fully dominated by roasted coffe with some earthyness;this is definitely one of the most coffee-like beer I have ever tasted; not bad, but a bit one-dimensional...and, to be honest, I don’t really like coffee :-)

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Biernavigatie.nl. Pours black with an enormous beige head that stays forever. Aroma is that of sweet coffee. Taste is almost exclusivly coffee. This smells and tastes as cold fizzy coffee which to me is a good and a bad thing. Yes, I like my beers with some coffee notes but the overpowering coffee taste The Daily Grind has is too much in my opinion. There’s not much else besides the coffee making it a bit one dimensional. Still, a remarkable beer.
