COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We love the smell of fresh coffee in the morning. It’s one of the little things that put a smile on our face. Using delicate ingredients like Guatemala Antigua coffee, brown malts and Saaz hops, we created this dark coffee-infused beer. It will be the smile you need to break the daily grind.

Bottle @ joes thx to myself and my secret sinterklaas. Ruby red to dark brown colour, little to no head. Smells coffee, dark chocolate, mocca. Tastes coffee, darl chocolate, the bitterness of cocoa, mocca. Medium to full body, lasting taste, soft carbo. Could be a bit more silkier and thicker. This is a great beer for me, love it.

On tap at bierfestival groningen. Intensiver Geruch nach gemahlenem Kaffee, stark röstig. Beginnt malzsüß. Mitte stark kaffeeartig, röstig, bitterschokoladig. Bitterschokoladiger, fruchtiger Abgang, süßlich und liquide. Excellent.

Yeah, finally a new Rooie Dop beer. Let’s see what the guys made of it. Black bodied with bubbly beige head. Pretty big on coffee and chocolate, but also a creamy toffee and toasted - almost like every malt aroma can be found here, which I like. Especially nice for the abv. Also packs a good punchy taste, but not the creamy base of some heavy alcohol stouts, rather a chocolate and butterscotch type, even with the sourness of strong cacao and roasted coffee. Significant amount of flavour for the 6.5%. Also distinct from (how I remember) the Double Oatmeal Stout, so a proper addition to their lineup. Great job! (33cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden)

33 cl. bottle @ home. Obtained in a trade with tderoeck, cheers. Black with a reasonable sized beige head, somewhat stable, some neat lacing. Smell is lots & lots of coffee grounds, burned coffee beans, roasted coffee, pure 100 % coffee, real coffee not beer coffee notes or whatever. Taste is sour (?), uneatable berries sour, sour malts, almost hint of vinegar, lots of sour berries with heavy burned coffee grounds & beans in the back, grounded coffee, quite bitter coffee grounds, burned. Bit thinned out by the sourness? with grounds in it. Is this intentionally like this? Was this intended to be sour? A good sour porter whether intentional or not, with age if this gets further sour, might destroy the balance between the extremes.

Bottle at UDRBM, Hazy brown pour, thin of-white head. Aroma of coffee, caramel, roasty malts and more coffee. Flavor is slightly bitter coffee, roasty and a bit watery. Nice brew if you like coffee, like me.

Bottle 33 cl, brewed oct 31, 2012. Pours pitch black with a tiny and disappearing tan head and an aroma of black coffee, woody earth, dark chocolate and toffee. The taste is just slightly sweet, dominated by a complex mixture of malty notes and of course lots of coffee notes again. A lovely brew!

Bottle. Deep dark brown color, only traces of a head. dark chocolate and fresh Guatemala coffee in the aroma. Low on carbon. Coffee flavor with tart and bitter notes. Dark chocolate. Malty sweetish, creamy and oily mouthfeel. Some herbal hops. Well balanced, with some minor mistakes.
