COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We love the smell of fresh coffee in the morning. Itís one of the little things that put a smile on our face. Using delicate ingredients like Guatemala Antigua coffee, brown malts and Saaz hops, we created this dark coffee-infused beer. It will be the smile you need to break the daily grind.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2013 Bottled, courtesy of caesar. Black appearance, beige head. Aroma is dominated by fresh coffee, very nice, some roasted malts. Quite bitter flavor, coffee less dominant but still obvious present, roasted malts, chocolate. In contrast to several other other coffee stouts, this one does not have a creamy mouthfeel at all, itís quite thin bodied. Bitter finish, not only hops but also because of the coffee i guess. I prefer a little bit more body, but itís still a very nice easy to drink beer.

Beetje gusher. MooiezwRte kleur met een volle lichtbruine kraag. Ruikt fruit, vanille. Smaakt zoetig, iets bitter. Wei ig uitgesproken smaken. Erg veel koolzuur. Schuimt de bakkes uit.

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy almost black color with medium frothy light brown head, fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and caramel. Taste starts with light sweet but rich roasted malt, follows b coffee and smooth milk chocolate, mild spicy mouthfeel and light bitter finish. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Thatís my coffee substitute...

Pitch black transparent beer with brown highlights and a weak head. Smell is ash mixed with sourwood, drop and coffee bitterness. Touch of leather and espresso warmth. Roasted almonds, salty. Very subtle smokiness and dark fruit. Taste is dominated by coffee bitterness with a real coffee taste. Unfortunately a bit too watery making the taste a bit faded. Finish is ashy with a strange sweetish sourness. Almost like burnt bread. An interesting idea but the balance doesnít work for me.

Bottle @ home, from DailyDelis. Pours like oil, no head either... Coffee grind indeed, in nose and taste. Bit bolted on. Chicory. Hmm..

Tap. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate roasted dark malt and coffee aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is the good brew.

On draught at Apex. Deep dark brown color. Aroma is strong cold-brewed coffee. Taste is similar, with some roasted malt notes. A very light-bodied coffee porter, yet quite flavorful.

4oz on tap at Libertyís. Dark brown color. Thin ring of off-white head. Leaves a dot or two of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Kind of soft, nice chewy texture. Lightly dry finish. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet, hint of tartness (doesnít bother me, though). Nice oatmeal, good exotic coffee, some dark fruit mildly spicy berry-like notes. A solid european take on a dark coffee beer. The coffee is what makes this, Iím a sucker for exotic coffee bean. If no coffee, this would be several points lower. But I love the coffee part.

Sample from 33 cl. bottle. Dark, brown colour with a reddish tinge. Thin, tanned head. Roasted aroma with coffee, caramel malts, fruits and slight chocolate. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and roasted with coffee and fruits. Very nice Porter.
