COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The city and province of Utrecht has got a great history (and future) of brewing beer. It deserves a beer that shows our appreciation and what more could we do than make this Utrecht Strong Ale. Big hops dominate the aroma and big malts support them in taste. Put your hands up for Utrecht, we love that city!

(Bottle) above average beer. Dark amber, red-ish, with thick dark white head. Hoppy aroma with light malt background. Little bit sirupy and sweet. The same goes in the taste, with sweet dominant. The alcohol is not hiddent very well but it is not totaly unplesant either... Warming. Light hoppy bitterness in the back. Full body, low to medium carbonation. Bitter finish. Not quite what I would expect but not too bad either.

At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Hazy dark amber with a lasting off-white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma, reminding me of mediocre homebrew. Sweet malty and yeasty flavour with a bitter finish

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel braunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, Karamell, fruchtig, hopfig. Geschmack röstmalzig, fruchtig hopfig, Karamell, leicht alkoholisch.

Bottle to tulip Resin, grapefruit, over ripe tropical fruit, alcohol and pine. It’s a cloudy amber with almost no head and thus no real lacing, but there’s an oily coating instead. It’s loaded with plum up front and as that fades, a black peppery taste comes in along with grapefruit and ending with an indistinct bitterness. Quite enjoyable.
