Bottle, 03/16/2013. Pours mahogany, dark reddish brown, nice dense creamy head, solid lacing. Aroma is roasted caramel, toffee, big tropical hops with resinous character, thought perhaps a little soapy. Taste is dominated by resinous, piney hops, light tropical notes and cantaloupe even, roasted caramel malts and bitter finish. Medium body, good carbonation makes it pop. Not bad at all, good interpretation of the style.

Lots and lots of foaming, definitely brewed at De Molen. Aroma is somewhat stale with fruits, resin, nettles and gooseberry bush. Later also some vegetables. Flavour has vegetables, some berries, caramel and resin. Not good, too much vegetables here.

Pours a dark ruby brown colour with a thick white head. Aroma of strong nettles, gooseberries and dried fruits. Flavour of strong gooseberries, mango, nettles, grassy bitterness and nuts. Medium bodied, hard carbonation and a grassy finish with loads of nettles. Alcohol burns. Not good at all and quite homebrewish. Also, I don’t like the hop profile here.

Bottled 30 OKT. 2012 - Pours dark reddish orange with a large foamy head. Aroma of floral and herbal hops, hints of fruits and malts. Taste is strongly hoppy with floral and herbal notes, grass and caramely malts. Finish is hoppy and herbal with some maltiness and lots of carbonation. Unbalanced, slightly unpleasant hop profile.

Pours hazy mahogany color with a huge head. Aroma of nettle, fruits, mild hops and grass. Flavor of caramel malts, hops, fruits and grass.

Bottle. Cheers to Simon for the generous pour! The appearance is deep amber with a small white head. The aroma’s orange peel, resin, slightly spicy hops. Strong marmalade fruitiness with a robust malt profile. The taste is in a similar vein. Chewy caramel maltiness. Sweet marmalade and orange. Sticky resinous bitter hop finish. Medium body, this hides the ABV well. Overall, a really well made beer.

Bottle from Euston Tap. Hazy glowing orange, stable head. Complex fruity hops aroma. Interesting fruity backbone, nicely hopped. Good mouth feel,too. A craft beer that excels.

Clear amber beer, big creamy yellowish head, very stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, canned pineapple with syrup, mango, some other exotic fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very fruity start, piny hops, pretty bitter, resinous, quite some exotic fruits, bit sweet, malty, honey. Aftertaste: some citrus, sweet malts, alcohol, bitter hops, pineapple, mango. I’d classify this as a double IPA... but who am I? A guy who sure does like this beer!

Vackert röd öl. Bygger tyvärr inte mycket till skumkrona. Tyliga beska av grankaraktär.
