2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Wakie (612) - Centreville, Virginia, USA - SEP 24, 2007Just a plain boring blonde. Honestly I didn’t think it was that great. Sort of a hazy yellow and lacking in any real character.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Lubiere (8239) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2011

App.: Hazy golden with a small white head.
Aroma: Oddly fruity, acetaldehyde?, floral and perfumed, tropical fruits, a little biscuit, odd.
Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence.
Flav.: Many of the same tropical fruit salad notes, some grain/cereal, corn adjunct?; off-dry with restrained bitterness and a fruity biscuit finish.
Odd.

On tap for growler fills at Half Time. Pours a mostly clear gold with a medium sized white head. Grainy, soft and sweet, dusty grain. Sweet and grainy, little sour and bitter. Bitter grains, sweet and grainy. Sweet and weird. Not something I’d want to drink.

on draft at Red Dove in Geneva. Light clear yellow pour with thin ring of white head. Aroma is citrusy. Light and clean flavor with a lot more depth than I would have expected from a blonde ale. I’m impressed.

Tap at the Fargo in Aurora. Pours light with white head. Fruitiness is detechted immedately. Kind of sweet in my opinion. Not bad.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 PilsnerPeter (3019) - Flushing, New York, USA - MAR 2, 2009
Tap at Barcade’s Upstate Beer Night: As I state in many of my ratings for this style- a truly misunderstood and underrated style. Pours a slightly hazy light golden with a white ring of head. Lightly sweet pale malt aroma- clean without many esters. Nice and fluffy feel- a touch of pale malt sweetness- crackery grain, fairly clean without much yeast/phenol action. Simple, but no major flaws- easily sessioned.

(Rating #2028)
