COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Named after a rare breed of chicken that originates from the state of Ohio in the USA, Buckeye is an easy-drinking, well-hopped pale ale, brewed with a blend of American and New Zealand hops, producing an orange, citrus fruit aroma and a refreshing level of bitterness.

Cask at the Craft Beer Co, London on 2nd July 2012. Clear gold with thin grey head. Fruity aroma with orange zest. Tangy in-mouth with lemon and orange peel, herbiness and a developing bitterness. Bitter and tangy finish.

Cask ale, half at JDW Waterhouse. Good lacing for a low layer. Golden body with a slight haze. Aroma of leafy hops. Fresh fruity taste including oranges and tropical fruits. Smooth bitter ending. Not too thin. Refreshing as the first drink early on a Sunday (Manchester, 27.01.2013).

Cask at Tap East, 22/02/13. Clear pale golden with a thin bubbly white head. Nose carries pale malts, lemon, light sugars, touch of grapefruit, orange, hops. Taste comprises hops, pale malts, grass, light pine, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, bitterness in the finish. Decent stuff!

Cask @ The Bow Bar. Rich golden amber colour, reasonable head. Resin biscuit & citrus fruit aroma. Biscuit grain citrus flavour. Grapefruit aftertaste. Decent golden ale. Big taste for 3.5%.

Cask@Blue Stoops,Chesterfield. Hard to believe this is only 3.5 ABV. Lovely citrus,lemony hop taste which really gets the taste buds into overdrive. Perhaps not quite as good overall as Wild Mule or Yankee,but another very good beer from a very good brewery. If you like your pale/gold ales then this will not disappoint in any way.

Amber, clear, dense white head, good lacing
Aroma - grassy citrus hops
Taste - grassy citrus hops, bit of lemon, some zest, some peanut kernel, lots of hops, light pale malt background, good flavour for the abv
Palate - thinnish but bit oily, good body for abv. Finish - bitter citrus, bit tangy hops, soft bitter, nice clean finish
Overall - At 3.5% this was very good

Handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton, 30/12/12. Bright foaming straw. Lime, curry leaf and peanut-like pale malt aroma. Lean lime and curry leaf hop flavour; moreish citrus, mellow bitterness. Likeable sessions.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Gold with white head. Fresh and slightly fruity malts, hints of graininess if perhaps a little thin, then an orange zest hoppy fruitiness, some sweetness but plenty of flavour. Pretty decent.
